Some people take rumor as fact...which is sad, but, its true.
1. You're not a Nintendo fanboy, though you're quite possibly the most loyal I've ever seen.
2. Thank goodness. I don't want to pay $400 for a game console.
3. The media a game is written on means nothing. Some of the best games are on CD's!
4. That's just funny its so wrong.
5. Yes, it's very nice to be racist. That solves all the problems of the world...sure.
As you went down the list, you were grasping at straws more and more.
Medal of Honor in the Wii section should be replaced by Trauma Center. That could be the best game that no one buys.
"****In reply to your statement that Sony shoved blu ray down gamers throats****
So what, you don't want better technology?"
I just want to make sure here, then. Last gen, you had an Xbox, but not a PS2, correct? I just want to make sure you're not a Sony fanboy spewing propaganda now, when, last generation of gaming, you were happy with your Sony made PS2, which was by far the weakest console.
Heck, I'll even accept it if you had a Ga...
So the 360 is a toaster, the PS3 is a super computer...
...and now the Wii is a PI for catching cheating.
Actually, if they were going to go ALL of the consoles, not just the PS3 and 360, but the Wii as well.
Of course, that's not happening. It's a PS3 exclusive and will stay that way.
Now, if it doesn't sell well, look for FF14 to make a console leap, possibly (FF1-6 was for Nintendo, now 7-13 before another jump?) but don't expect it to be to the 360. The Wii has a larger install base, and that goes double for where it counts (Japan), and the handhelds could easil...
As I've said before, all it takes to be an "insider" anymore is that no one know who you really are.
If I said a lot of things about this and that and said I knew it all, no one would believe me, because I'm just your average guy, and that means I have no credibility.
However, Surfer Girl has none, either. Until we know who Surfer Girl is, she's not news, just rumours. When we can see this person actually has reason to talk about things, we can believ...
"All that remains is for ps3 to pick up the crown where ps2 left it.
In the hearts and minds of countless playstation accostumed gamers."
I believe that is what Sony is thinking.
Nintendo is laughing at them too, because that's what they thought when the N64 came out.
"What system do you think the ppl STILL buying PS2's will likely buy next?"
Most likely the Wii, considering they obviously want a variety of good games, and price is more important to them than power.
Brand loyalty means nothing, except to the fanboys.
Edit: The late late adopters don't what a first party game even is. These are the people who ask when a Mario game is comming to the PS2 or want pong on their new console.
DS 281,487 18,766,139
Wii 133,332 4,154,453
That's Nintendo. It's not even like most of the rest of the world with the handhelds at the top, its just Nintendo at the top.
Play Mario...then you'll know it deserves to be #1.
There's a reason it's rated, currently, as the best game of all time, right ahead of Ocarina of Time.
So in 3 years, the Wii, PS3, and 360 graduate, and the Wii and 360 go on to make something of their lives, since they are nerds and have plenty of knowledge, and the PS3 is going to be flipping buders to pay child support.
And here I thought you were a PS3 fanboy, and you can talk so bad about the PS3!
ANything but the X Buster at the top is terrible. Anything that can shoot fire, ice, water, drills, tornados, electricity, spider webs, acid, etc. can't be anywhere else.
Even throwing cars around can't compete with that.
Edit: @1.3 Maybe not Mega Man, but its the weapons, not the people holding them (or built into their arm, as it may be)
"NPD's data is always correct"
That's fairly amazing when they, themselves, admit they aren't 100% accurate. I believe they are off by up to 5%.
The only way you could get 100% correct data is to have someone at every store counting every sale. Unless you can do that (NPD doesn't), there will always be some error.
NDP numbers are estimates, just as vgchartz is. Vgchartz, however, covers the world, not just NA, and they don't have as ma...
Yes, its half your monthly rent.
Wii at $250 (and more for games), that's worth 15 days of shelter. Rent is by no means cheap, of course, either.
I don't know many people who have $250 to throw around...heck, its less than 1/200 of what I spent on college, but that doesn't make it cheap.
A PS3 owner that is not a Sony zealot? Bubbles for you, sir, bubbles for you!
I'm certainly not a MS fan (I'll not likely ever own a 360, while, someday, I will likely own a PS3), but I doubt I'll be getting a PS3 next year. Sony needs to drop the price about $250 more and I'll consider picking it up at the end of next year. I doubt it, but we'll see...I'm just not dropping more than $150 for a second console.
Then again, even if it does happen, money will still be an issue. In 2008, the games I want include Brawl, Endless Ocean, No More Heroes, Mario...
And never play me Wii standing up.
Think about it now...maybe you'll get it...keep thinking...
I know many many people who wish they could consider $250 dirt cheap.
"Their business module just won't permit it. Nintendo will be here 'till the gaming industry it's self implodes and is no more."
But, the gaming industry will not implode as long as Nintendo is around. They saved it once, and they're saving it again.
