The first 6 FF and then CC has been on Nintendo platforms. One of them may well be in it.
We'll see. I get this feeling Nintendo is locking down info on most of the new characters, though. I would want it to be a suprise if Mega Man or Zero challenges me, anyway!

Without question, Mario Galaxy should be on there, but, honestly, if they added Paper Mario on there I would choose it over any of the games on there.

Anyway, I agree, Mario is about the simple story of one man against the world. Mario is trying to save the princess, and the evil King Bowser has most of the rest of the creatures in the world under his control.
It's not just an epic story, its a story we crave! On the most basic level, how many shows, movies, games, books, anything...how many come down to...
Twilight Princess might be garbage compared to the other great Zelda games, but on the grand scale, its great! Zelda is held to a higher standard, and, by that standard, it wasn't great, just average.
By the standard almost all other games are held to, it was wonderful.

Mario might not just be the game of the year, going by the ratings, it may be a new best game of all time (I believe that title right now lies with Ocarina of Time, as far as review scores go).

We saw this with Sega vs Nintendo, too, in the 90's. It seems to be a culteral difference, where Americans are more likely to boast and brag, while the Japanese look forward a little more and don't get as arrogant.
Reggie also may not have had the lessons of what happened to Nintendo last time they got arrogant pounded into his head like they have over in Japan, but I think the difference is more cultural.

It seems to me the only difference is that Sony has dropped the price of the best selling bluray player twice by the same amount this "large" price drop in the weekend sale has, making the bluray price drop more rapid.
I can agree with all of those except the GBA.
They need GBA games like they need GC games. Both can be played on consoles currently on the market.
However, expanding their library to include many, many more consoles, if they could, would be truely awesome.
Don't you know? It's because the Wii numbers are inflated by Sony/MS viral marketing to make the 360/PS3 look bad, because, after all, for some reason it's better to make a direct competitor look good than to get your own numbers inflated.
As a side note, every single site and magazine is getting paid off by both sides to give Wii games high scores and inflated sales, just to make the other "next gen" console look bad.

When I'm finished with SMG, if Mario 64 is being compared to it in my mind, and SMG is better, I will be here claiming it is the greatest game of all time and forevermore.
I'm not sure about it, yet, on the grand scale, but, just maybe, we have history, here. Few are the games that manage to define a genre, like Ocarina of Time, Mario 64, and FF7...but if people are lowering the score just because Mario 64 came first, and not because it was better, we have another one.

They take different kinds of strategy. Both are great, though.
FE is more of a single player experiance, and, as such, the strategy can be more not losing than trying to win, while AW is at its best against other people, which makes it mroe about winning (or, as I play with Jess, not losing, but most people don't do that).
