This looks a little biased, just by the picure. I don't see how the PS3 or 360 fanboys are so different in their thinking. It comes down to this, both consoles have challenges that must be overcome. Which one was it? Neither or both equally, quite likely. So was it Halo 3? No, its a totally different game, and they know they would sell more just before the holidays even if they were making a FPS with a linear storyline with multiplayer being the big draw. GTA delaying because of Halo w...

I'd love to see this kind of test repeated, in the heat, but with all 3 systems, and until 2 of them die. If any are actually going after a week, rush the death by spilling a 2L of coke on them. I'm sure that would make them die pretty fast.

I'd rather see it when the 360 that has its heat problems "fixed" though, just so no one can complain about the results, but let's face it, the real test would be between the PS3 and Wii, both of which are unquestionably reliabl...

I'm glad someone tells me what I need, because without being told, I might not know.

You should have told people last gen they need graphics, though, because PS2, the weakest system, dominated.

Not that any of that really has much to do with Vista, but I don't see the PS3 and Vista looking the same at all, anyway. It's too different to compare to PS3, even by the standpoint of past dominance.

I will agree that Halo is nothing special. I don't think its BAD, but its not good either. Just middle of the road for FPS that got incredibly popular for some reason.

However, I don't agree with how you put it. You don't get the point of a game being mediocre across to people by attacking the people who play it. It really weakens your argument, and, as I said, I do agree with you that its overrated, but you don't actually have an argument, because you attack people, not th...

Seems like a good year to upgrade for a new system, or even an old system considering it's comming out for almost every console ever made (I think they may have thought about including the Odyssey).

Seriously, though, it looks like it could be good. I just hope the smart players have a chance to misread the play. After all, the simple fact that the Colts don't score on every play shows that Manning can't read EVERY defense EVERY time.

I hope the "reciever&...

Deity, let's not forget that Betamax was superior to VHS, and we know how that turned out. In fact, the battlefield of technology has tons of examples of superior technologies that fell to the inferior technology. Gameboy won over Game Gear, for instance, though the Game Gear was in color, and the Game Boy was still black and white.

I don't even know how this can be called a war, yet, because the war hasn't even started. Until the majority have access to HDTV, I don't see ho...

No one is happy about the GTA delay, except Nintendo, but they're happy either way.

Sony is hurt because this was the game that could move their console. Now, its not going to move as well for a Christmas gift, because their lineup for the rest of the year is that much thinner. Sony needs to move the PS3 THIS YEAR, or else they have problems beyond the PS2 users upgrading to PS3, and that is the developers not upgrading to PS3.

Microsoft needs something to jump...

Besides being incredibly rude, typing in all caps, and having terrible grammer, I think its fairly cute when someone so misinformed makes their opinion known.

People act like Wii Fit will be the end of video gaming as we know it. Everyone should be for its success. It would lead to more "casual" games, and with "casual" games going strong, it would make for higher quality "hardcore" games.

Heaven forbid something different comming ...

How many games have been made specificly for the Wii? Everyone thought the wiimote was a gimmick, not unlike when Nintendo introduced the D pad. They seem to have more than just critics thinking its a gimmick in common, though. Success.

Nintendo is making new peripherals as they are needed. If they were out to make a quick buck, why would they invest so much into the board? It would be much cheaper to work with arm movements and trust you're doing the right thing with your...

Unfortunately, you don't need a video game to do that either. Heck, you can go to college and make a living designing houses. Seriously, I knew someone who had to design a house for a weekly project in college, completely furnished.

Of course, you don't have to be so professional about it, and all you need is pencil and paper.

The fact of the matter is that we like video games, not because they're something we can't do in real life, most of the time, but becaus...

You may have a point, but look at The Sims. So many people buy anything it, but I don't think any of us need a video game to...you know...live. Maybe I'm missing something, but it seems to me games that let you do something you could do anyway can be pretty popular. Woo hoo, I can tell my sim when to eat, sleep, use the bathroom, and go to work. Hey, sounds like life to me.

Real rip offs are in the games that are recycled, given a graphics update, a few scenery changes, and...

Great games are great because of what they are, not what they look like. Pop the old version back in and have some fun. If you can't because of the graphics, there's just no helping you at all. There's no reason for a group of people spending time updating graphics on an old game that you can already play when they could be making a new game, and you can still enjoy the same version you've had for 10 years just as well as the version they would be working on.

As they say, "gon't fix what ain't broken." I'm not a fan of all those games, but the classic worked.

I really have to wonder why Zelda is on there. If I recall, Ocarina of time came out in '98, so 9 years ago. 10 years ago, Link was still fighting on the SNES only, and the change to 3D was a huge change in the series.

I would call Ocarina of Time a change, anyway. I'll agree agree Zelda hasn't changed much in 10 years...next year.

I believe the Wii is still sold out in most places, including most areas of Japan. Last I heard about it, the Wii could be found by walking in some stores, if you got lucky but hardly a wide spread occurance.

It seems Nintendo isn't sending everything they're making, in hopes of having enough Wiis to last though the holiday season. With some of the games they have comming, I somewhat doubt it will actually work.

It seems to me that this article is for the regulation of video games and compares them to movies, but movies are only slightly more regulated. Little John could just as easily go out with his friends to see a movie that's rated R as buy a game rated AO.

Most movies that are rated NC-17 (in the USA, the X rating isn't an official rating) are normally trimmed to get an R rating, and those that aren't...well, I can only recall seeing a commercial for one that wasn't, and it was ...

Your brain won't work without sugar, no matter how much cocaine you have.

And of course sugar makes you fat. You wouldn't want to disapoint all the people who think gamers are supposed to be anything but the lonely fat guy in the basement of the mothers house would you?

That would be like a blonde acting smart; while there is no actual connection between the two things, the narrowmindedness of some people might make their brain explode if they find out otherwise...

Why would company make games for only Sony when Sony only has 2 of the 5 consoles out right now (PSP and PS3 vs Xbox 360, Wii, and DS). It doesn't add up for...anything really. Maybe some exclusive games, but not all future games PS3 exclusive. That would require a lot of money from Sony, because there is just too much money to be made on the other 80% of consoles hooked up to TVs out there right now (Sony has less than 20% market share).

I don't buy anyone going exclusive f...

The informed consumer sees value in all the extra stuff?

I would see more value in it if I DIDN'T see all the extra stuff, because I would assume the higher price went to a better gaming experiance for me. However, I don't see the "value" in paying for Microsoft allowing me to put music on the hard drive and playing it during a game. Even if it added $1 to the price, its not worth it to me or the millions of others who have a CD player.

The PS3 has bl...

If you're used to standard def, and you play a PS3 or 360 on a standard def TV, you're not really all that likely to know exactly what it is you're missing out on.

Someone who moves from an HDTV will see the difference, but someone who never saw their game played in HD won't realize anything because they've yet to see it.
