And that's just 4 games. My Sims will be popular. Bleach looks good, fast, and it a pretty popular anime. Zach & Wiki has what it takes to suprise people, and if it gets good reviews, it may sell very well. Ghost Squad has been overlooked to this point and looks pretty good. Trauma Center was a must have for the DS, and when it hits the Wii with a NEW form, it should do well.

That besides the Holy Trinity. And last time we saw Mario like this, it was on the N64 and mo...

It's crazy to think that the only money exchanging hands is on the HD DVD side of things.

Looking at the HD market, if bluray outsells HD DVD 2:1, that means multiple studios are willingly giving away a THIRD of their HD sales! If I was a Disney or Fox stockholder, that would not be going over very well with me, unless there was some sort of compensation for the loss of revenue from the HD DVD sales loss.

If anyone honestly thinks that any exclusive studios exce...

Gotta get Metriod!

Also, I think Brunswick Pro Bowling could be good on the Wii. I'll have to look at some reviews, first, but if it can go above and beyond what Wii Sports did, I'm picking it up. If it falls short, it shows a huge lack of effort, since we're talking about a dedicated bowling game...

I don't think the reason for calling a game the best should be because we can learn something (and something that is controlled by the player, I would assume, I'd be mad if I always lost the 100m just because I wasn't Sonic).

I think Mario and Sonic will do well. I think it will be a lot of fun, but there is no way in the world that it stands up to Galaxy.

Maybe it has a lot of events I don't know about (there are a lot of sports that were never in games before ...

I'm really glad Boogie did something different, but its not something most people want, myself included. I want to see more companies try to see what the Wii controls can do, and Boogie did that, and, even if I think the game is terrible, I'm glad it happened.

Let's just hope for success in the future, with creative use of the controls.

I would be shocked if this could be a great game, just because the all out motion control is in its infancy.

I would like if I could choose what to do with the ball by how I swing the wiimote, not by pressing buttons. If I want to hit the ball softly, I will, without having to press a button.

So it looks like a game that could have been great may end up being just another port with no effort put into it. Had Rockstar really worked with the abilities the Wii has...

Saying anything that shows that you do not worship the PS3 or 360 will get you disagrees from both sides. Didn't you know that?

Either that or some neutral person came along that doesn't like platform, adventure, shooting, fighting, RPG, racing, or sports games. In other words, you either got disagreed because people hate the Wii and you said something somewhat for it, or someone who hates video games stumbled upon this site and decided to give you disagrees because he hates ...

If Microsoft managed to get the Core price below the Wii, and Wii stock actually stayed on the shelves for very long, Nintendo could slash the price $100 and, while they would be losing money, wouldn't be in terrible shape with the lost money, while MS would be losing a fortune on the 360.

I will agree with the iconic titles and new IPs though. Metroid and Mario look wonderful, as does SSBB and other first party Nintendo games. And No More Heroes is set to blow us all away. ...

Well, we know that, for instance, you'll get tokens for winning fights against bosses. We don't know how many mandatory missions will have tokens with them, either.

However, if the big difference is that you have to get 10% of the tokens to finish the game, as compared to 60% of the stars to finish Mario 64, then there is no big difference, really, unless you want to say collecting shine sprites in Mario Sunshine was very different from stars in Mario 64.

It see...

I think the biggest challenge for the Wii is getting developers to not mess up the controls that should work but don't for one simple reason...accelleration.

It seems as though the bad controls on some games comes from the accelleration in the opposite direction of motion when you stop the control. Developers need to keep in mind that the accelleration doesn't always mean action, even if it is in the right direction, There are plenty of good Wii games that show good controls c...

Analog sticks were around before the N64, but the N64 was the first modern (self centering) analog stick.

It was around in the 70's, I believe the VC 4000 was the first ever analog stick, but it is not the same as what Nintendo gave us 11 years ago.

Wow, more impressive than any of the consoles is the DS.

At the rate it's selling, it will pass 50 million units worldwide this year (Japan alone may get it past this mark, if it sells enough this holiday season), getting there in 3 years!

Unless Nintendo comes out with something else before then, the DS could be stiff compitition for the PS2 for worldwide sales. Of course, that is considering they will have ended up having the same amount of time on the market,...

The Wii has a lot in common with the PS2. It's a simple mechine used mostly for games. It's the weakest with graphics this gen. According to many people, its selling for things other than its games (wiimote on the Wii and ability to play DVDs for the PS2). And, what do you know, they both also experianced a fairly big drought of quality games the first months after their release, but after that drought, for both, developers started hopping on board.

The Wii is selling well,...

Now since its comming out on DS, ok, any DS game is a related product, but what does it say about the 360 that its related? Just food for thought.

I guess Nick is hoping they have something good enough here to sell 10 copies, bringing their total to over 45,000,010 games sold, and that with only about 5 millio...

Mario isn't supposed to look like those games.

Rachet & Clank doesn't look like them either, but its still a beautiful game.

In fact, I think Mario Galaxy and Rachet & Clank are two of teh best looking games comming out in the near future. A game doesn't have to be photorealistic to look great. Some games are meant to look like Mario.

How would you improve the grapics of Mario Galaxy, without limit to resources or space?

The numbers really are pretty bad for MS, even if they try to spin it.

They talk revenue, but let's talk profit. Nintendo is getting rich off the Wii and the games they make for it, and the 3rd parties that make real games for it are getting rich too, with lower development costs and high potential for sales. If I make $200 billion, I made a lot, but if I spent $300 billion to get that much revenue, my net profit is $100 billion in the red.

So revenue means ver...

The PS3 and 360 actually have what was considered a gimmick for a controller 21 years ago. Back then, Nintendo did the unthinkable, added the D pad! It was supposed to be a gimmick, it was supposed to fail, and the joystick was never going to die!

Oh wait...

Then, with the N64, Nintendo did it again, changed the way games are controlled, with the first modern analog stick.

Nintendo has introduced 3 new ways of controlling the action. It started ...

The EyeToy will only be used for a few games.

Almost no 3rd party developers want to develop a game using something the majority of the owners of a console don't have. You just can't make money like that, doubling the price of your game for the majority of people by making them buy something they don't already have.

It also seems like it won't be able to be used for fast paced games, which will really hurt it in terms of what it can be used for.

Hmm, they predict Nintendo will lose because they'll screw up like they did with the DS.

If Nintendo screwed up with the DS, we can only pray that they do the same with the Wii.

How do you know people aren't buying it for the games?

Zelda, Paper Mario, RE4, Red Steel, and those are only the good* games that are out now, let alone the massive wave yet to come, and there are more if you're a casual gamer or didn't have a gamecube and have some older games to catch up on.

*Red Steel isn't a great game, but its worth at least one good playthough.
