Nothing against the PS2, since it has plenty of good games, but why should it be crowned one of the winners just because its been out longer?
Why not suggest a GBA, since it plays so many games and is cheap?
There's a very good reason its a bad suggestion; its an outdated console. If a company has moved on to the next console, it means the last one is dieing. Sure, some PS2 games are still comming, but what exclusive to PS2? It's just not a good investment to ...
Wii Fit will do well for one simple reason. Follow this logic, if you would.
People pay money, a lot of it, to go to a gym. However, many people are intimidated by going to a gym. People look for an alternative to the gym that they can do at home, minimizing the risk of being judged or looking foolish. Wii Fit is an alternative that is cheap compared to gym membership fees after a while and also cheaper than a one time payment of home exercise equipment.
That...

Sept 16 Young's coverage is blown away by Freeny. Young, being a running QB tries to get ahead though a hold, but is faster and catches him. In a freak accident, his cleat gets caught on the ground, and as he falls, his ankle breaks. Titans go 5-11.
It's nice to see someone saying they won't blame the game if they go down, since I'm not one to believe in curses. I believe in the numbers, and the number say the chances of Young not suffering an injury are ...
You know, some people like to talk about the Wii being not much more powerful than the GC, which was good technology back in 2001.
The problem with this logic is that the controls of the 360 and PS3 are twice what was on the N64 (first modern analog stick), which was good technology back in 1996.
So, before you talk about the Wii being last gen, remember that some of the technology in the 360 and PS3 is twice as old. Using that logic, I can make a very strong ca...
It's good to hear updates from these guys, because, while Double Bloob doesn't look like my kind of game, ROTR is looking great, and no self-respecting gamer isn't excited about Sadness (don't let double negatives confuse you!)
Sadness got pushed back a lot more than I was hoping, but a delayed game will eventually be a good game, but bad games are bad forever. I'll sooner take a nice and ready Sadness than a rushed, unfinished version. Knowing the vision of Sadness only work...
"PS3 is in 9th place.
360 premium hdmi 12th place.
360 elite 14th place.
360 premium 22th place.
360 core somewhere slightly below 100th place.
+ pre-orders of the 360 limited halo edition.
= THE 360 SELLS better THAN PS3. "
12+14+22+101= 149th overall
Yeah, its not accurate, but if you fail to provide any real numbers, nothing is going to be accurate. In Japan, the Wii has the highest sales of th...
Bubbles for you! Gotta love when someone tells it like it is.
The truth is, in some ways, we're all biased. I'm biased for the Wii, and I didn't expect it to get such a good review, so it is understandable that others are suprised who are biased against it.
The fact of the matter is that any site that wants to keep people comming back and trusting the site will make sure articles are accurate.
Madden may actually be the game that opens the eyes o...
No one can seem to agree if the Wii should be compared to the 360 and PS3. It seems when it means a lower rating for a Wii game, people want them to be compared, but when the Wii is selling like mad and making other consoles look bad, its for a different market and can't be compared.
That being said, I think they can be compared, and graphics ratings should be based somewhat on what the console can do and somewhat on what other consoles can do. You don't want to give a game a...
Microsoft has problems, and they know it. The Wii is a runaway success, and this comes at a time when the Wii is about to overtake the 360. Strange, huh?
Expanding the market isn't an option until you show some form of stability. With the way the 360 keeps getting little changes, the threat of some games not working on the core (the one 360 cheap enough to expand the market), and a history of catering to the hardcore, the 360 won't expand the market. The next console probab...
Nintendo learned not to try to match, faster than Microsoft did. The PS2 beat them both badly, but it was a greatly inferior console. Microsoft stayed the course and Nintendo changed.
Now the 360 and PS3 are trying to show how great their consoles can be with all the extra power and non-gaming stuff, just as the Xbox and GC did last gen.
Nintendo stopped competing because they saw what the little console could do. Microsoft is just now learning, but it's too l...
Ramirez from Skies of Arcadia is one of my favorite villians of all time. Maybe its just that I've been played it again recently, but rarely is a villian more than someone who opposes good. Ramirez seeks to unite the world under a powerful ruler to end wars. In that way, I suppose if you consider Shadow Sonic's villian, he ranks right up for me to, since he's not a bad guy, but is mislead.
I liked Sigma more than Wiley for Mega Man, but Wiley obviously laid more groundwork f...
I don't quite understand. If you look, you will see some of the best games comming out for the Wii in the near future.
Besides the Holy Trinity (Mario, Metriod, Brawl), Fire Emblem doesn't disappoint. No More Heroes should be out early next year and is looking pretty good. Dragon Quest Sowrds will no doubt make its way around the world after its totally insane success in Japan. Disaster should be out sometime next year, though when is questionable.
Sadness is...
It's probably an unnamed trainer because Pokemon allows you to play as yourself. I would guess this trainer is probably actually you. Color change probably turns him female for some of them, as well.
The 360 and PS3 are old generation consoles. The N64 used the first (modern) analog stick and the 360 and PS3 are STILL using it. Why do people insist on using 11 year old technology?
Anyway, yay for Metroid! It'll keep me busy for a while.
But isn't it the same basic idea?
Sit around and play a game that's not very different from what you played before?
I would think a better comparison for size would be Sunshine, not 64. There were 120 things to collect in both, but I think Sunshine was actually quite a bit bigger. At least it felt that way to me.
From what we've seen of Galaxy so far, it looks like the different worlds will be very big (there were worlds on 64 that you could seriously see from one side to the other). I have little doubt Galaxy will be bigger. I only hope the extra size doesn't add a lot of dead space to ...
"The average consumer looks at the wii and sees someone else buying one"
No, the average consumer isn't waiting at the doors of a store when it opens, so the average consumer doesn't see someone else buying one.
It can hold more memory, but not enough more to really be a huge difference maker.
CD to DVD went from 0.7 GB to 4.7 GB. This is nearly 7 times larger.
DVD to HD-DVD is 4.7 GB to 15 GB. This is just over 3 times larger.
HD-DVD to Bluray is 15 GB to 25 GB. Just over 1.5 times bigger. I don't see this as justification for Bluray, and even if you go to theoretical limits, this just over 1.5 times bigger doesn't change, assuming you go to the limit...
If Microsoft, or any company for that matter, says "Optional...required,&quo t; no matter what is between those words, no one should buy a product from them again. Nothing that is optional can ever be required :P
I have to say, it wouldn't suprise me to see Microsoft force something like this, but they better never have a sticker that says that something optional is required. That does sound like something they would do, though, to be honest.
The names will be back, and, actually, also used for control style, most likely among other things. No doubt those little 4 letters will still be with that arrow pointing at you.
Though online play, I doubt you'll get to use that. 4 letters is just one too long to avoid most of the immature people of the world...and we know how Nintendo feels about that.
