Yeah, we all know, every company that makes profits is greedy.

The only good companies are the ones that lose money. Seems like they never stick around for long, though. I wonder why...

With the hype around Halo 3, I should be able to go buy it and expect to never have another problem in my life.

I think games should be just as accepted as movies as a form of entertainment for everyone, and get just as much exposure.

Something like Halo kills that dream, because it gets so grossly overexposed that people start looking down on it, and I would say someone who hasn't play games before has the right to look down on it, because it looks like gamers a...

I skipped Maddex '08 on the Wii. Before I could get it, I heard it needed a patch, and if they're going to release an unfinished game, why should I shell out some money. The 360 put everyone to shame with Madden, though, and I have to think EA will consider changing their advertising next year (this year, they make it look like a 360 exclusive).

It's not hard for games to sell well on the Wii. Even Red Steel broke 1 million sold, and it's mediocre at best. It's not going to...

They stopped saying that a long time ago, or most of them did anyway.

It went from no one will want the waggle, to its just a fad, to I don't like the Wii.

Interestingly enough, since this is just NA data they're guessing from, the guess is that the Wii will almost double 360 sales, even with Halo 3 comming. There's certainly something to be said for that.

Sony needs to react before this holiday season, or risk losing a massive amount of 3rd party...

I think this game will be one of the possible suprise hits.

I hope it gets online, though. Pick being either a poisonous or edible mushroom and fight a battle in the war.

I've said for a while, Wiis are being stockpiled in Nintendo warehouses, and that's why the sales have been going down. Nintendo is reducing what they send a little each month, but not cutting production.

The result will be a huge spike in sales this holiday season, and the Wii shortages will likely not stop there, so they will still be selling well come 2009.

I think he means that this holiday season, you'll only have to be in line outside the store at 4 AM, not 2 AM, to pick up your Wii.

Nintendo is giving you an extra 2 hours of rest compared to last year.

People are talking bad about Sony with this, and I can see why, but we do need to look at something, first. Did Sony stop making VHS video recorders soon after DVD came out, while VHS was still, by far, the stronger format and DVD was just bearly being adopted.

If so, we can't complain much about it. Sony is looking forward to the future (from their point of view, at least) just as they did back then, and they're being consistant.

However, I don't believe they ...

We get another bullet point in another power point.

You don't need anywhere near that amount of space for movies. Decent for storage, but there are a lot of bigger things we can see comming for that, too.

What makes a good boss battle to someone depends on so many things...

To me, a good boss battle is based on how hard it is, the story between the good and bad guys, what happens just before and after the battle, and even the music during the battle.

I really think Ramirez from Skies of Arcadia should have been on the list. Fighting him and the gigas was easy, but the fight against him fused with the gigas was wonderful. The voice for him gave me chills the firs...

It's actually most likely just going with the "bribe," as bluray supporters like to call business deals, bluray gave Target to sell only standalone bluray players. It may have been a part of the deal we didn't know about before, or it may be a realization by Target that they won't be selling as many HD DVD movies without the hardware to go with it, but either way, I'm sure its connected.

I'm sure if a retail store were to sell only HD DVD standalone players, they wou...

I can agree with both of you to an extent, but some money from a game that's rated AO (the first one would probably break a million sales without being sold in any major retailers and even if it wasn't that good, just because of the hype). The problem I see is that in movies, someone can make porn/extremely violent movies if they want. They might not sell as much as 300, but they can make it, and they can sell it. In the video game industry, because the companies that make the system decid...

Having his son able to buy a video game (and who knows how many times he had to try at different places and different times), and say it prove something is like me having someone crash a car at 80 mph, try until someone lives, and say crashing a car going 80 isn't dangerous.

Bad logic, terrible conclusion, psycho lawyer.

It's not like it really matters, anyway. All this will be is a bullet in a powerpoint presentation given to companies when trying to get them on board, anyway.

Same goes for the 200 GB bluray disc.

We all know that HD DVD gives more than enough space for movies and all the extras we want (or in my cases don't care about, at least for me).

More space is just a way for each side to say "hey look, we're winning with more room," which looks ...

It won't be enough because $400 is still far over the price needed to get many people interested in what you're selling. $200 is the magic number, most of the time, and since we're talking game consoles, I don't see why the PS3 would be immune to that number.

Only the Wii is having great success, both because it has fun games for everyone and because its lower price makes more people think of getting it. Just wait until Nintendo cuts it to $200.

Another $100 of...

Video games didn't do it. I can name a few reasons why no one cares all that much, though.

First, there was a flury of attention on it for a day or so, and no one knew exactly what was going on. No one is going to pay attention when doctors all over the country are asked for their opinion and it's given, without ever having seen Everett. Too much media coverage actually gets things ignored.

Second is the fact that he was moving his arms and legs. Something li...

As I said, infinate holds. Fox had an infinate, too, which I hope is removed, but with the Ice Climbers, sure, if you can kill one, they're power is pretty much gone, but if they start doing their infinate holds on you, you will die without causing another point of damage to them, and once you come back, unless you kill one right away, the threat for an infinate hold is there again.

Anything that gets banned in competive play is cheap by any standards. Infinate holds and auto...

Porn isn't the only NC-17 movies out there. In fact, when I looked up a list, I would say its a minority. Many movies rated NC-17 are rated so for violence and extreme language. In fact, most people here have probably seen one (rating got tricked into R).

Scarface was rated NC-17, but a slightly edited version was given an R rating. The director thoug...
