"Remember, Wii is actually less powerful than PS2 *and* more expensive."

It's amazing, with how so many people call the Wii "Gamecube 2.0" that so many others, and sometimes the same people, say the Wii is less powerful than the PS2, when the PS2 was a fraction of the power of the GC.

If you want to say the Wii is only twice the power of the GC, as most people like to say, its about 4 times as poweful as the PS2.

The PS3 is the ...

Ok, if we're going to act that way, the PS3 and 360 offer nothing new at all.

By my standards, they do, but if we generalize like that, there's nothing new at all on either the PS3 or 360.

Yeah, sure.

Looks like supply finally met demand in Japan. It seems most people don't know economics, saying the fad is wearing off. When supply finally reaches demand, there is a sharp dropoff in sales as not all products are sold, which is, of course, a decrease from all being sold. This is good news for Nintendo, not bad. The Wii still outsells the PS3 nearly 2:1 when both have enough supplies to meet demand!

I find it astounding that some Sony fanboys are claiming victory for the P...

If the poor Wii sales mean it outsales the PS3 1.9:1, I think the Wii is still in the best shape of any console.

I'm sure Sony and MS would love people to say their consoles are dead when they are still nearly doubling their compition.

It's a decent look. It's not 100% accurate, though neither is the NPD numbers (NPD can be assumed to be more accurate, but still not 100%).

This is about the spike I expected from Halo, but it looks like it may pass the Wii when it actually hits, which I didn't expect.

We'll have to see how it goes from here on out, even if we're only see a rough estimate from vgchartz.

You shouldn't be putting attention on secondary aspects of your console until later in its life.

Sony is saying the games will be good in 6 years, and in the mean time, its a bluray player, the reverse of what it should be.

They've set themselves up for failure in so many different ways, and this is the most obvious, pushing that the PS3 is a bluray player before the war is over and most people are unwilling to commit.

Edit: @2.1

The article says its only the 360 version, and that it happens with other games, as well. Sounds like a 360 problem start to finish to me.

I've had a problem like this once, with my Wii, though not this game, and it was after my little cousin got into the game and scratched it up.

Only one thing comes to mind about the 360 when I see this...people complaining about scratched discs.

Nice way to start a flame war, posting 360 news under PC, Wii, and, yes, even PS3 news.

There are two explinations for this. Either you had no idea that news about a game problem with the 360 should be in the 360 section, or you thought it would be a good idea to post negative news about a 360 game problem as news for every console.

Forgive me if I'm looking at Wii news and get something about a 360 problem and don't find it interesting. However, I do think it ...

In that picture, behind him, does it say "The Best 2007 Women?"

If he stays with them, or wherever he goes, best of luck to him. He's really made some of the best movies, ever, and so long as he can keep making them, that's what matters, much more than where he does it.

I suppose with his views on the format war, though, the only other place he could go is WB.

Light sabers could work with less delay than a normal sword, simply because actions in other games, such as Zelda, your movements make the character react like hitting a button, because that is the only way to work it, really. If you bearly touch someone with a sword, it won't hurt them, so a motion takes the place of hitting a button, more or less, with a normal sword. Until you do the full motion, you don't see the results.

A lightsaber would be different, though, because t...

My thoughts exactly. Right now, I don't see how this game would offer anything really new. It may, but I don't see how it could. The only thing I see is that maybe it's Crazy Taxi where you can buy a new vehicle and make more money faster.

If that's all it is, it can look perfectly real and I won't want it. However, if there is something unexpected and we're totally wrong about it being like Crazy Taxi, the graphics don't bother me in the least.

If any company besides those giving official number say it, its rhetoric. If a company giving official numbers says it, then, and only then, it is fact.

For instance, anything that comes from this session they speak of will be pure 100% bull plop.

The list is decent, with 4 games I agree with, but two of them I could live without.

Mario Galaxy and Brawl aren't off anyone's radar, though. One of them will likely be the best game of the year (I'm leaning toward Glaxy just because it looks to be new, while Brawl will be like Melee updated).

All of the others, I could live without, though Mass Effect looks to be pretty good, as does Assassin's Creed, but neither is my type of game.

"Like a better processor, a better GPU, a bigger HDD, a better optical medium (but DVD9 is OK for the Wii considering it's last gen), ANYTHING online related, and good original IP"

You say the Wii controller is not innovative, because, "everything you see in the Wii is old technology, including the Wiimote." I had no idea processers had been the same until the 360. ANd I was also over here thinking bigger HHDs had been comming long before this gen. Heck, ...

If I may ask, what contry is that?

I know its not America, considering it had to be edited to avoid the AO rating that would have doomed it.

I wish I lived in a country that no one was controlling any media (beyond protecting minors from sexual or violent material, of course), but, unfortuantely, here in America, corperations are censoring this, and other games, by refusing to sell them if they get the AO rating.

If it goes on that long, neither will win. Something else will come along in that time and put them both to shame.

I would think it's more for people who want to see the end, not play online.

There wouldn't be that many people getting it right now to play online, even if they were brave enough to try, so that's not a big deal...people seeing (and posting, in some cases) the end of the trilogy is all this leak is good for, before the release date and all.

Last I saw, the Wii attach rate was better than the PS3, without the talk of it being dangerously high like the 360.

This without all of the great games we're looking at for this holiday season.

In its first week, MP3 sold to 11% of American Wii owners. Imagine what happens when Mario Galxy comes out.

Nothing against Bioshock, but its not my kind of game, so I won't comment on it beyond, yes, it is a good game. I don't see what's so great about a...
