I don't know the guy, but I was never interested in any of the casual/social crap like avatars etc so that might be the reason.
But that was not the point.
The point was that this "news" is pointless and shouldn't exist, because it's MICROSOFT's guy praising MICROSOFT game.
It's a practice known for ages, nicely potrayed in Discworld with a character called Cut Me Own Throat (or C.M.O.T) Dibbler.
This is ridiculous to make a news ...
Who the f.. is Kudo Tsunoda?
"Microsoft's Kudo Tsunoda has claimed "
OK. Not reading any further.
- there's no precise info (for example: latency)
- is it about RAM or storage? It could be "game changing" for the storage, because it's a non-volatile memory
- is mentioned applications in gaming a part of information or something the newsman added from himself?
Too soon to jump from excitement, but I do hope Micron's answer to HBMs will be strong and accurate. HBM looks like it might not deliver the revolution we all hoped for. The fac...
I forgot about that!
I wish they made BF 1943 for PC. 2 years ago I tried 1942 and BF2 through Tunngle, but... there is noone left besides veterans. I die all the time :D
But someday I'll return, get through the annoying phase of shaking off the rust, and have some fun, just like back in the days.
BF1942 was the first game I played online in my life. Before that there where only rare occasions when we took our PCs to one of the player's house and hooked them up...
I really wish he did/allow the subtitled version.. It's really hard to understand sometimes, at least if English is not your primary language. There are episodes where I count more unrecognized/unknown words in one episode of Zero Punctation than in a whole year of Sterling's or TotalBiscuit's videos combined.
@JMyers
Because the screnshots are 2160p. They (devs) could reach 2160p because they use PCs to create the game or they use it to obtain the marketing-friendly resolution. Next time learn something about the process of creating games before you call someone a troll.
Also, it's not uncommon to use 8K resolution for screenshots. If you lack the knowledge, you'll call them "bullshots" od "photoshopped". It's not console-specific. PC game devs do th...
LOL. 29 people disagrees with the fact that Sony-owned IP won't ever show up on PC and the second one - that PS4 won't get any game in 2160p60.
This is gold. :D You fanboys will never stop surprising me :D
I saw the miniature image and though "is this a 80's Pole Position mod for Project Cars"? :D
Great screenshots from ND's PCs. Too bad PC won't ever see this game, and PS4 will never see games in 4K. Maybe PS5/6 will have another remaster...
I meant it's misleading, since it still promises too much.
It's not "my" FOV, every human has more than 180° FOV. It depends on the position of your eye, of course, and you never see all of that at the same time, but it would have to be over 180° to cover the same FOV as we see in real life.
@timlot
Are you sure you understood them right?
Didn't they say that it is a good representation because it shows the FOV ...
This is NOT showing any glimpses about the FOV.
It just shows it's smaller than a camera view. I don't have a camera on my head. I have 2 eyes with 200° FOV.
The FOV in practice is nothing like the one you can see on this video. Waste of time :(
It's a pity the design philosophy mentioned in the article, is so rarely seen these days. Order 1866 would be a great example. Great... something, but not a great game.
Also C4 jeeping is just as much fun as infuriating. No matter if it's BF1942, 2, 3 or 4. There will always be people who will call you a "stupid noob" for that. ;)
PS. LO contest - steam version.
The game looks really nice and promising. I wonder if it'll support 3D or 120Hz on PC. I would also like to see a demo version.
PS. About the giveaway - Steam version, of course.
Sonic Racing Transformed at 2x 60fps (3D, on PC) is a great game even today.
I'd love to see another racing game like that. There is not enough games with that "arcade" soul nowadays.
It wouldn't even have to be a kart racing game. Flying sections are the best.
I would rather see a great 3D platformer, but another Sonic Boom? No, thank you.
THE most fun comment I've read this year.
Great joke, thank you. :)
If someone doesn't get it: VR eats a lot of pixels. Pixel performance is determined by the ROP performance. Recommended PC has 3,5-7x more pixel drawing performance. The fastest card has another 50% more than that, and I don't even take dual-GPUs into account.
In fact Xone has just 10% more pixel throughput than a middle-end card 8800gt in 2007.
The graphcics quality and de...
Everytime I see someone saying there will be no new hardware from MS, I think about how many things I could win if I could make a bet.
It doesn't matter what shape will Xbox 4 have. Or if it will be a real nextgen, or just Xbox one and a half, Xbox 2.0, Xbox 2.5 etc.
There is no chance Xone is the most powerful console MS ever releases.
It's at least 10 years until most gamers have 100Mbit/ping<10ms internet connections.
Meanwhile there will be:
It depends how do you look at Polyphony.
If you treated them as "almost gods" after GT1,2,3 then they got lazy after GT3. ;)
But if not, then let's look at GT5. I think we can all agree it took them "a little" too much time to do it. ;)
Unless it was on purpose so they potential consumer base grows enough. It could be the reason why we saw no GT7 at E3 2015. They could be in the third year of development of GT7 if they wanted. The game could be...
I think it was a better decision:
- the game won't be released before E3 2016, so there was no need to show it.
- gamers are getting tired of the announcements of games that will actually be finished after 2 or more years.
- showing the game more than a year before the release date brings the risk of downgrade PR nightmare or disappointing the fans with not impressive enough graphics.
- it's Polyphony. They got lazy after GT3. There is always a...
Let's not.
hint 1: Nintendo boss recently saying: "Wii:U flopped because the price was too high."
hint 2: rumors about 149$ price
hint 3: rumors about the console being android-based, a "transformer", a handheld and a console in one, with some docking station.
hint 4: rumor about 2016. Ninendo would HAVE to wait until 2017 for TSMC 16FF+ process to become mature and cheap. 16FF+ was the only chance for Nintendo for creating a c...
Sure. They love it. That's why they forced Rare into a company developing some Kinect crap. Recently they admitted that the reason they entered the gaming market was just fear of loosing the livingroom space (multimedia, movies, non-gaming electronics overall) to Sony.
Please. More. So many laughs. MS loves games as much as gamers. Comedy gold! :D
