Just as in Gulf Of Oman - they changed too much. Graphics - ok, but why the hell did they change the map?
Also, I loved the BF2 one for the clarity.
I voted for Dalian Plant and Dragon Valley, but this is just a decent map for BF4, not the Dragon Valley - one of the best maps ever.
Well, it's not as broken as Gulf Of Oman, so it could be worse, I guess.
Oh my god... THE worst comparison ever.
1. PS2 footage is not 60fps as it is during gameplay
2. Did they use a phone from 2004 to film this? That looks:
- blurred
- washed out
- EVEN MORE blurred. It's probably upscaled, and noone forced gamers in PS2 era to use crappy LCDs. CRT = no scaling needed (plus great image clarity in motion, of course)
PS2 games on this engine, often supported progressive scan. The dumb idiot who ...
Wait a minute...
Alienware at the bottom of the video + 60fps video recording = there should be smooth 60fps and it look's like 30fps.
Framerate cap in PC version?
I'm a backer, and won't regret becoming one, since just the music alone makes it worth it, but 30fps cap on PC would be a huge letdown.
I hope it won't happen.
"will fill up all of those pixels".
Not exactly all, because there's the issue of compression and bitrate. I wish they (YT, Twitch, Hitbox etc.) offered the option to choose the lower res, but the bitrate of the higher one. For example YT at 2160p can still look worse than 720p stream of very good quality and bitrate. Of course that depends on what happens, what's in the scene and how much it moves, but I prefer Gamersyde's 1080p videos over YT 2160p. They offer ...
You're right. We just broke the 20fps limit with a game that wasn't hold back by the old generation - AC:Unity.
We can still go for 10fps and 5fps, so such game really shows the potential of PS4/Xone.
And if you didn't see what PS4/XB1 is capable of yet, you should go to gamersyde and watch the Uncharted 4 gameplay demo. From "this will be running at 60fps" said in 2014, they improved to "we'll try to hit it, but we might not be able to" in ...
It's possible on PCs now, but as always - we'll wait for the next generation of consoles to catch that, while PCs are wasted and killed off by this stupidity. :(
The only positive thing that comes to mind is the fact, that PS4 and Xone both use x86 and PC GPUs, which means there could be PS4.5 and Xbox 1 and 3/4 in 2017-18 instead of 2020-2023.
As a big fan of T1 and T2 I'll try to share my opinion about T3 beta (Early Access):
- the graphics are great as always, although the hardware requirements went up by quite a bit. I still managed to pull mostly stable 2x50fps (3D mode) in 900p after some tinkering with the details, on GTX760, and it was an old version (I download the more optimized version now), so it will be significantly improved. The graphics aren't nearly as good as i would expect from changing the target ...
First, thanx for the non-aggressive and logical comment. :)
YOU WROTE:
**********
You said that 95% of gamers are going to play this game on a display that cannot properly accommodate 60fps, meaning Insomniacs decision of 30fps is only going to negatively impact 5% of gamers
**********
It was "seeing the whole 100% of the difference". It's so huge that even at 10% there still is SOME difference left. Besides motion clarit...
After spending about a thousand hours comparing the two options in games, I can assure you: you're wrong.
I explained how misleading it can be, but you're just like most of those stupid people - never saw the difference, never analyzed how much it influenced the "fun factor" but they (you) know better.
This is a game, not a painting. You watch it moving. Therefore even 10x more detailed graphics wouldn't justify 30fps because you can multiply 0 b...
"even more"
:D
"EVEN more"
Good one, Ray, really good one. :D
Huge disappointment. :(
It's clear why it has come to this:
- 95% of people who will play this game, will play it on crappy displays which blur the image in motion. Without backlight strobing/backlight scanning, it's impossible to see more than 10% of the advantages 60fps brings, so people say stupid things like "it's acceptable" or "but we'll get better visuals". Well.. No. If they played it on some gaming friendly display (low lag...
PS4 was showed almost two and a half years ago.
Released at the end of 2013.
Just saying it's really stupid to call them "nextgen" now.
Sure, it's not enough to be hold back to 2007-2009 (PS4 = CPU slower than 2007 PC and GPU from 2007-2009 PC, actually 2008, but I want to avoid stupid discussions).
Let's stay in 2005 (PS3 GPU is slower than gtx7900 from 2005).
I have no idea what that guy smoked, but it was probably poisoned.
After 10 years we say "thank you very much" to the old (ancient) technology, not cry when new games are not getting the ports for that.
I was really disappointed when new game from Naughty Dog for the PS3 turned out to be in 30fps. After Jak&Daxter it was a huge downgrade in gameplay, responsiveness and animation.
I played the demos of U1 and U2 only to conclude that it's not for me. Cover system mechanics alone was a huge "nope" for me, but with 30fps on top of that, I also couldn't do what I loved to do in Naughty Dog games for PS2 - admire the created world, wander, look around.
If you...
I got Beach, buggy racing, beach, beach buggy racing (HOOO)
Beach, buggy racing, beach, beach buggy racing (I got, I got)
Beach, buggy racing, beach, beach buggy racing
I got Beach, buggy racing, beach, beach buggy racing (HOOO)
:)
It just looks washed out. Much worse.
Here's my list of things I would like to see at E3 but won't:
- MDK 3
- Jak&Daxter from Naughty Dog
- REZ 2
- highest quality Burnout game
- Superb future racer similar to SW E1:Racer, running at 60fps
- WRC game from Evolution Studios
- MechWarrior
and a list of "probably won't":
- Mafia 3
- RDR (any, 1 or 2) for PC
- Forza 5/Horizon 2/Halo Collection for PC
- Do...
A month ago, CDPR was the MOST loved and respected developer studio in the world, while Ubisoft was and remains the worst.
That's a fact.
Now, because of some deals with Microsoft (my guess) CDPR turned out not to be 100% pure and good studio. It turned out CDPR is not as awesome as we (really) wanted to believe.
They lied:
- They could say there is a difference between what they showed and how the final version looks like, instead they lied they...
Nope. I don't like it. It might be because of the sentimentality (D2 is the best Doom game in my opinion, partially because D1 was too much for my AMD 386SX ;)), but the music doesn't sound right, and the looks of this doesn't feel like Doom.
Lighting alone doesn't make it better.
PS. The author went "a little" too crazy with particles ;)
This title: "Microsoft claims to have developed superior Oculus Rift lenses"
makes me think it's a click bait.
1. It's DK2. A year old prototype, when the present prototype (June 2015) is worse than what we'll see in CV1. It was just a thing Oculus wanted quickly out of their doors, so devs could start creating content. DK1+imagination wasn't always enough. There was no time for optimizing the lesnes choice or organizing its supply c...
