I couldn't even get to the part were he actually talks about the game 3 paragraphs in, due to the near vomit inducing BullShit. It is obvious he isn't reviewing the game off its own merits and that he wishes he were playing something else, so of course he isn't going to like it and rate it accordingly.
So far, the only reviewers deeply criticizing the game aren't even playing it right.
... how in the hell does a professional game reviewer manage to play a game wrong, anyway?
If all this is true, they really should just scrap the review and have someone else do it. At least if they want to keep whatever integrity they may have. But of course that won't happen, and even sadder is the reality that so many will never even know how unprofessional and inaccurate this revie...
Your comment does not make me lol. It only depresses me.
I think I told you this before, but I'll say it again:
If you don't personally like Nintendo, don't play their games. But that dosen't make them bad, as they are some of the best games in the industry.
Also, in reference to my skyrim comment, I think we can all agree that someone will play as an elf and use pixie magic to kill a dragon. And it is also quite likely someone will play as an elf, wear...
I made quite a few errors in my comments below. However, I believe the majority are due to the touch pad keyboard on the tablet I am using to type this, so I'm still good, right?
^_^;
Ok, read it.got some more thoughts...
First, your criticism of gamers is alot like their criticism of the reviewer in question, Rus.
Wether or not your wrong in this stance isn't what I'm trying to point out, but that's how it comes out.
Also, your personal view of Jim's review helps prove my above point nicely.
Regardless, though, people shouldn't put so much weight in reviewers, specifically the number portions. But I also think metacriti...
@bublo
You mean skyrim, right?
I really wanted to adress this issue in the comment section, so I'm commenting before reading the article, which I am going to read.
Meta critic is absolutely part of the problem. By aggregating review scores from different people, they give the numbers to much weight in and of themselves. Numbers which do not correlate to each other, and I am not even talking about how a 4 means an 8.
Lets take 2 different people, who are rating the same game. Reviewer A gives the game a ...
My favorite would have to be the ds one (although I am more of a handheld gamer anyway...). Double dash was pretty good, but I played and enjoyed the ds Mario kart quite a bit more.
The one red that comes with nsmbw?
That's the one I have.
Also, paper mario ttyd is awesome. One of my favorite gc games.
Can't wait for paper mario 3ds
That last paragraph devaluing portal 2 could easily be changed to a rant against uncharted 3 in many peoples eyes, word for word.
Not mine, since I haven't played it yet. (If it is better than uncharted 1, which I'm playing through for the first time currently, then it will be a pretty good game. Though still not goty). But even so, I can understand where the writer is coming from.
Also, I loved portal 2's coop. (Didn't play single player myself.)
@panthers
Both the boomerang and ganon are absent in skyward sword.
You should at lest try to understand something before criticizing it.
And how are they up zeldas ass for oot, and you aren't up ND ass over uncharted?
@nycredude
Zelda made quite a few departures, actually.
... Nintendo isn't in the red. They thought they would make more money than they did, which in big business, is like a loss. And even if they were losing money actively, they have coffers full of cash to last years.
And what is this about sony not wanting Nintendo to fail, which has nothing to do with the topic at hand at all? I think someone needs to learn their gaming history, and that someone is you.
When the ps1 launched, it brought in a new set of casual gamers with a...
@mistr
It is a good thing your parents didn't think the way you did, or you wouldn't be saying that... or anything, for that matter.
It is also a good thing not everyone thinks like you, because I would rather have a world to full than one completely empty.
Maybe, but for a real life person in most places, not really.
Ehh, it did work out well for Zelda and Robin...
But even so, I aways cry a little inside when I here news like this.
Anyone remember the parents who named thier kid "Like"...after the facebook button?
Wait... you mean a guy who can't even play the game properly was allowed to critically analyze it?
Another thing is that, unlike previous generations, a large graphical leap just won't affect gameplay design potential/opportunities nearly as much. We would just end up with prettier versions of the exact same games, instead of upgrades like improved ai and frame rate, to name a few, that would enhance the overall design further.
I think so too.
I read that interview. Reggie was referring to other Wii games.
