@gribble
I saw that too...
The whole of the header sentence is mostly stupid... ^_^;
If online prices are to low, Retailers will get upset. It's a balancing act that I believe has yet to be perfected.
Also, in Japan one Vita download actually has a form of online pass, were you have to buy the multiplayer seperately. Once you've downloaded both sides of the game, the price ends up the same as a new retail copy.( I think it was the golf one.)
@grave
That's more complicated and inconvenient than just buying physical only and having to change the carts....
There were a few at last years e3.
Awesome.
The only problem is these regions are Sony weak point as well. The psp was nowhere near as well accepted in these regions as the ds, so I don't expect a drastic market change overnight.
@hicken
I think you guys are digging a little to deep here...
What you appear to not realise is that much of your comment mirrors my intended, but poorly delivered message.
My stance is, there will be people who are only able to buy the 3ds version, or perhaps the 3ds version is their only portable option(it's not like everyone will have a vita. And look at baka: he wants both!). The 3ds version is a perfectly worthy entry for these people, and is also a r...
@gaming 101
...are you a fan of irony?
Yes.
There is nothing wrong with choosing sides. Hell, you can even dislike a console or company if you want. But that doesn't mean your opinion is fact, so if you are going to be vocal about your stance do so with respect and understanding of/to others that may think differently.
I personally have little interest in most Sony games, and to be honest I actually dislike them (Sony) quite a bit. But I still understand that others have respect for the company and its...
There are plenty of games, just none that appeal to me.
It saddens me that people claim the 3ds has no games when the truth is the Vita is launching against a system with a powerful lineup with many great games to come in the future.
You don't have to like them, but there's no point in denying the truth.
@im
It's not. It is about all games in Feb.
@crazy
That hardly matters now.
@jony
I know. That was the version I was talking about.
And @thom I'm referring to those who would like a portable mgs, but not a vita.
If you have both(systems), then the hd collection is the better value package.
I wasn't trying to make an argument or decisive case one way or the other, just setting up some extra points to think about. ^_^;
Also, something tells me that there may be more to the 3d ver. That has been kept secret.
You can also walk while crouching in the 3ds version.
I have only ever played the psp demo(I don't remember what it was called), so I don't know exactly how it will change the gameplay.
With the 3ds being cheaper and not requiring mem cards, I think it more then evens out.
@thom below
But those aren't portable.
^_^;
@baka
And you wouldn't be buying either system for just one game either.
^_^;;;;;;;
@ neko
I see... let me match your points:
The 3ds has the "better" lineup from the Vita's start, even in america.(This is why it, the psp, and the ps3 trampled it in Japan.)
The 3ds has games people really want. Mario 3dL is the systems first 5mil seller (most likely WW, but I forget...), and there are more highly anticipated games coming shortly.
and many more.

@buzz
But it doesn't matter now, as price is no longer a barrier for potential buyers. The old price won't affect those who choose to buy a 3ds now.
And if you are commenting on the effect of life long sales the pre drop price may have on the 3ds, I don't think this is much of an issue either, as Nintendo has already caught up to their unit sales forecast (and then some).
@Q
No. I don't have much interest in the currently displayed software, or ...
@Godchild
I think he means the as of now incomplete UMD Library buyback program. Many people own umd's, and not all of these games are on the psn store.
And I can't even remember if this thing is planned for other regions besides Japan.
And so far, PS1 games are unavailable at the systems launch.
For me? The Wii.
^_^;
Added:
I love kirby games.
^_^;
lol.
Why would it "beat" the 3ds with those games, when nearly half of them are/will soon be available for the 3ds, plus other big sellers?
By the time the vita got these games, people would have already have them on the 3ds, or in some cases have a 3ds because of them. And while those people may buy a psv anyway, if they also bought a 3ds then the sales will just even themselves out.
Next Resident Evil title confirmed:
