Actually, the hardware is also quite impressive in its own way. ^o^
Something few know is that the 3ds has built in shaders and foggers. Games with advanced shadow and fog techniques often take up alot of power, but the 3ds has these built in separately allowing for these complexe effects without tapping the rest of the hardware.
It also makes development of these facets of a game easier for developers.

Kid icarus was only just released, so not having a review for it makes sense, but what about the other 2?
Everything saw respectively modest increases except the ps3(coming off its one piece high) and xbox.
The 3ds saw a 30,000 rise, most likely attributed to kid icarus, which also placed 1st in software.

I would rather buy an add on that comes with a game than a full priced additional controller.

How good the analogue stick is perceived by you is unimportant: Nintendo did it first, and sony realised it needed one too.
DDR and the power glove came even before the eyetoy, which was entirely different in execution and intention than the wii, so is hardly relevant t...
But that's just it: it does not have (more in number) better games and may never, seeing as how the 3ds will always have a year head start when it comes to dev support.(quality of any specific individual titles is subjective.)
The service and device are worthless without great games, and the 3ds will always have more. Preference will dictate purchase, and the 3ds has more types of games and gaming preferences available now and into the foreseeable future.
