If it's too good to be true, it usually is. General rule with rumors. Also they 'leaked' this after we saw the video, and it basically goes over a best case scenario of what you would expect from what you saw. Too easy to make up.
They should do what Rage did, have an optional full Install for 360 owners to play without disk swap - that way everyone wins. I'd assume though they'd have the swaps when you cross a certain point in the river or middle of a bridge, and not have missions that cross islands.
Initially after I completed the game I felt 2 was a little better in some areas, but since then I've gone back to the game; revisited some of the areas and now I definitely think it is better than 2. It just seems nostalgia wins out sometimes, but when you really go back and look at the game in depth you'll see how much of an improvement 3 is. The multiplayer is a good improvement too, very deep. I don't think either of the last two have ended (the 2nd half of the game) as well...
The moonlit Syria level really blew me away. Lighting has never been so impressive - not to mention how much detail there is in the town below.

I know it doesn't effect ME - I saw the video. I wonder why it effects others that's all. Don't get me wrong I would prefer better response times, but I'm well aware of the trade-offs necessarily to run at 60fps with low latency on old PS3 hardware. I played the multiplayer too quite extensively, I actually experienced none of the issues you've experienced. I haven't noticed any aiming issues, the auto-aim is very slight.

Well you might think that, but if you look at the average 360 scores on N4G, and compare them to Meta they both are higher on N4G. Gears 3 is a 9.3 on N4G and a 91 on meta. Those aren't 'user' scores, they're the average of scores of all reviews posted on N4G. Looking over scores of big games there's really very little evidence to suggest the 'ps3 fanboys' on n4g are influencing those averages.

I noticed this, AVclub has an unusual amount of weight on metacritic when they score something in the B-F range.
FF13 has a 42 on meta from them for a C-.. ? It seems there's a disconnect from them thinking what a 'C' should be, and what the rest of the media thinks is a C. For something like metacritic you need as much consistency as possible, and AVclub really doesn't belong there, until they fix what A-F equal.

I really think it's just costly for Microsoft too continue buying exclusive games. Xbox is still a long ways from eating all the losses the brand has incurred to MS, and they're focused on profits right now. Think about it, they would most likely have to cover a game developer/publisher for everything that developer would make on a PS3 version on a FAVOR...
