Kind of wish the companies could get along and MS had gone with the Bluetooth standard, then maybe you could use your MS made 360 controller on a PS3 and vice versa. It sucks having to buy control pads for each console when you have both consoles.
This is a step in the future of displays.. Think of what the next gen of this will be, augmented reality(See-through) screens in 3d, ultra-lightweight headset that feels like glasses; with gesture/hand recognition built in (using cameras on the outside of the glasses). A display that could virtually put an lcd screen on any wall you're near - with kinect-like tech for touch-screen. This is the future.
The problem isn't that it's a number 4 and starting anew, the problem is they marketed Halo 3 as being the final game, with their whole 'finish the fight' marketing campaign. I think we should expect companies to hold promises, not trick us into thinking its the last one, then have another one out in 2 years time. A trilogy should mean a trilogy, not just a small section of a whole slew of games with the title. It reminds me of Microsoft's 'timed exclusivity' cont...
You have to wonder if when mentioning "Some Things Just too Big For Current Consoles" He's referring to Activision being in bed with MS, thus forcing them to put everything on a single DVD9, instead of multiple disks. Just because 2 or more disks would make MS look bad.
People didn't get your joke, they thought you were making a joke about hidden charges with the PS3; when 360 is well known as having more. A headset packed in really doesn't offset those hidden charges when compared to the 360.
You pay $10 for a $2 ios game, now they're telling us they withheld content from the already overpriced game? I would think this should have been in there from the start - but I guess then it would be an overpriced $50 kinect game.
MAG deserves much better than a 5.9. I take it graphics are your main emphasis from you comment about 'gunplay.' I can't fault a game that's all about teamwork and tactics; I had a lot more fun on MAG than I did on Call of Duty or any other shooter this gen. I disagree that 256 player games are the pride and joy of the game, I had more fun in sabo matches. MAG accomplishes the feat of being completely different from everything else out there, something that should be rewarded ...
Saw the price, too rich for my blood. Still though this is a great deal if you don't have Direct TV. In short NFL Sunday Ticket is no longer exclusive to Direct TV and It's only 5$ more than you'd pay on direct TV.
I'm guessing a Gamespot sale. Think I saw it for $15 last month.
While I agree with his statements, it's pretty clear he has an obvious bias with Doom 4 being built with ID5 tech and will be finished in god knows how long considering how long Rage is taking.
Maybe Motorstorm apocolypse is getting a split screen patch for the thing, good to know more than one game will use it.
I always like creating super humans in madden games, and when there's other 99s already in the game you probably can't do that.
The number seem to suggest players enjoyed the U3 beta more. Lots of damage control going on here
Well FXAA is going to be a huge player, Uncharted 3 is actually using the tech - and saying it's 'bluring' the image is quite a bit of reaching (unless you get your magnifying glass out). This will hopefully translate to more performance out of 360 and PS3, with PS3 still having the edge with 3rd parties as MLAA is essentially free on the PS3 since developers don't use the spus very much.
And guess what MSAA blur's the image too, that's the nature of ...
The most accurate analogy is HD-DVD vs Blu ray, and next gen it's more likely that the consoles will be more equal power wise than they ever have been. The industry wants a unified standard, I don't understand why people don't want to all be under one console and play online with more of your friends. It seems like next gen will be a ps3 vs 360 all over again, with each side missing out on good games. This is actually a better solution than if Sony or MS themselves pulled out i...
This is kind of like a pipe-dream. Would just be awesome if true. The industry would like this move, just because multiplatform development is costly. The only part I don't like is which will probably be standard if they're together or not is paying for online and ads on the interface. I hate having separate friends lists between 360 and PS3, we should all be playing together online.
As long as Edge is still there they've failed to remove the worst offender. That site fails the "is there a reputation for scoring integrity" test.
@EYEamNUMBER1
His proof of IGN rating PS3 exclusives higher is bogus. It's only based on 15 cherry picked games, if you throw everything into the mix they're about even, even slightly pro 360.
Check this out; much more in depth. The math doesn't lie, you can even check it if you like.

Well now IGN has a Microsoft PR person writing reviews (child of Eden), they've completely thrown their integrity out the window if they had some before.
If we were all smart consumers this just tells PS3 owners: now it's even more worth your time to wait and buy this one on discount next year, you also won't have to worry about waiting on DLC that way; on top of it the needed bugfixes will be taken care of that are synonymous with Bethesda games.
