That's how I redeemed my xbox live gold card, went through xbox.com. It was much easier than using the console - good idea. Wish Sony let you do the same, especially since they're now doing online passes themselves.
What bugs me the most is having to put the code in. I remember last generation 'DNAS' games were stamped with unique disk ids. Why can't they do that here, instead of making us put in a code with our controller?
With that being said I think the biggest problem they're having is people that buy game consoles (the lower-middle class) just don't have money to buy lots of games anymore.
It's a systematic problem that is going to really hurt things ...
If you want to argue that they aren't biased go right ahead. This is a discussion after all. Any time a review comes up for a game from edge, people do deserve to know if a publication has a history of favoritism. It's good because it's on Xbox, this is Edge we're talking about here. You have to subtract 1 or 2 points to get the real score. Please do not give this site hits if you value objectivity in Game Reviews.
Am I the only one assuming 3rd parties will want to make ps3/ps4 versions and 360/720 versions of the new games early on? I don't think we're going to see many more exclusives from MS, outside the mainstay of fable, forza, halo, and gears, maybe one more.
The thing is battlefield used smoke and mirrors and over-hyped the graphics, once the beta hit the truth was out. Having a beta shouldn't be a problem for most games, in fact it should help sales.
I have a feeling we haven't seen the last of the media fueled 'Uncharted 3 Multiplayer sucks' campaign yet. Be very suspicious if we see articles attacking the multiplayer between now and the release, after all when you do sign up it does specifically call itself a beta.
I wonder if MS is scared to do cross platform online, because PS3 gamers will inform xbox live players quite readily, and joke about the fact that xbox live players have to pay to go online. Information to your base is your enemy when you're running a scam.
Honestly, we should be questioning peoples motives on here on a regular basis; a part of the problem is that people don't. If people are not actually aware that astroturfing exists, they need to wake up.
I agree with Logic, I'm sick of this old tired argument that 'aim' in shooters should always be the end all/be all in competitive gaming. Honestly it just makes every game play the same and it just makes me feel like i'm playing the same damn game with a new coat of paint. There are hundreds of games you could go play to get the aim=skill games you guys seek, go play something else; you are not short on options.

Why does 'aim' = skill to everyone? Why can't mobility, and knowing where your enemies are = skill.. It's just CoD fans getting annoyed because they think their skill should transfer over to every other game, reminds me of KZ2. You know what ND don't change it, let the CoD fans be frustrated.
Can't say I'm not surprised there's an assault by the games media against U3 multiplayer at the same time the Reviewers are reviewing the game.

The fact it's an opinion piece is a good point, but I really want to know why a NEWS NETWORK is putting out opinion pieces as top stories. The sad state of our media is that it's more about entertainment, most people wouldn't be the wiser that this is some guys opinion. Using hard-line cruel/fearful statements grabs peoples attention.

PS3 version is scheduled for early 2013, late 2012 for 2.0 to hit PC. Yea it sucks, but this is a major overhaul. All the zones are being redesigned - they're redoing the graphics engine even.
