"The PlayStation Eye is capable of capturing standard video with frame rates of 60 hertz at a 640x480 pixel resolution, and 120 hertz at 320x240 pixel" That's 60 FPS and 120 fps

apparently at 30fps it is a bit less enhanced in some ways, but a bit more in others.
Hello Input LAG... This thing will be the laughing stock of Microsoft forget Vista. The guy at sony already confirmed that you need 60 fps, or even 120fpt several years ago for precise controls. Well microsoft will cut corners to cut price that's for sure, but it will destroy them in the end.
I think MS has dropped it's 'easy to develop for' motto they trumpeted in with, and replaced it with a silent'extremely difficult to develop for'. Meanwhile Sony has taken tough to develop for, and added a peripheral that's not hard to implement.
Once all the 'trial' people are out and a month after the game launches, you'll be down to real gamers; one's that all have mics, then the game will really start to shine. And the haters that won't shut up about how they hate the game will be gone. Then the game can start to grow. Beta you just get all the people that had little interest in the concept from the get-go, but downloaded it just cause it's free and to be part of something new. This is a gamer's game.
I like this game a lot, it is frustrating to see gamer, after gamer reject the game before giving it a fair shot. Half of them probably don't use headsets.. But you know, sadly that's how things work now days, people ask the game to blow them away right away, or they'll move on.
It's not a game that will hook you immediately, but if you stick with it you will. You have to level up a bit and play a for awhile before you start to understand how it works. And you have to be willin...
I'm betting they decided to do it and keep the guys to voice Yakuza 4 also, it makes sense.
I'd rather the game have english voice overs, and mainstream appeal requires it if they're going for that.
Game is pretty sweet, hope they make another one cause i have the peripheral already. $120 is just too much to ask though for most people, but this is an excellent party game.
RPG elements don't belong in competitive multi-player games. I personally like an even playing field at the start, Why wouldn't you? I guess people are so sucked into 'winning' that they forget that there should actually be real challenge and sense of accomplishment associated with it. I shouldn't have to play a certain amount of hours just to be at a 'fair' level - I should be able to just jump right in and have a fair fight.
I see a couple posters so wrapped up in their 'CoD ...
And yet Uncharted 2 manages to be undeniably awesome without many RPG elements. Maybe they aren't necessary?
I personally think a lot of games throw them in to artificially extend the game without making new content. I'd rather they supported a game with new content, not higher level caps.
They probably just don't have the budget to do a ps3 version - which doesn't speak well for the title itself.
I don't know anymore, but I believe it was Bungie/MS that introduced the 'Review Event/Vacation' that a lot of games are now doing these days.
Truth is 9.0 from IGN is more like an 7.5-8.0 these days, which aint bad, it's just these guys seem to be slipping into operating as a business rather than an independent media organization. (by that I mean giving out inflated reviews to appease publishers for advertisements and/or early coverage) It seems you don't want to piss off big publishers in today's world.
9.0 just seems too apparent they were trying to please someone, i mean why not 9.1? or why not 8.9? because 9.0 ent...
xbox fans defending the rrod is really sad. Just like how they defend pay to pay online. Guys critisize your company if you want it to do better/
It's kind of funny because Epic was rumored earlier this year to be doing a new Survival Horror IP, exclusive to PS3(thought i doubt Sony would pay for another exclusive this gen outside of GTAV/Rockstar or FF). The Genre really hasn't shown up much on next gen consoles, and there probably is a good market for it. Look at dead space, the game wasn't all that spectacular, but there were really no games to compete with it - so people liked it. Resident Evil 5 left Survival horror to do actio...
Well insomniac might have the funds now to do their own IP, and quite frankly unless they're really pushing the PS3 hardware and disk space, it makes a lot more financial sense to go multi platform. I don't think Sony's going to be able to give them enough incentive to stay exclusive (as in enough royalties) - now that they don't own the IP - Insomniac is just too successful. They also I believe have enough confidence/name-brand to take the risk on their own shoulders.
I see the...
I think DS was more niche, for people that fit in that niche DS was better, but for average joe I think U2 was the better game.
bbbutt.. I thought Halo brought FPS to consoles?
FFXI was a huge money maker for Square-Enix, It is very unlikely this game will go free to play, unless it does horribly. SE is counting on this game to match the success or exceed from what FFXI did.
Finally done eh.. For some reason I was expecting this to come out mid 2010, I hope it's polished enough.
