Well I agree with your point but not really for the 10-13 year old range, those kids just really aren't old enough to understand how play correctly or communicate with an adult audience. And they're out there.
yea lol you're absolutely right, there's still diks everywhere they don't really grow out of it, then again what would you expect from a highly competitive military shooter. In these types of games age doesn't have a lot to do with maturity. Although kids usually do have a tendency to get more of a kick out of teamkilling.

Blu-ray drives will eventually hit almost dead even to DVD drives, and cell will cost the same as xenos, at which point - if you're Microsoft you better hope this gen doesn't push on another 5 years (it might). The wifi card/blutooth chip is like 2-3 dollars (at mass production price), why the heck doesn't the 360 have one...you know why.

The thing is look at Call of Duty, that game didn't need to be heavily marketed 'cause it was exclusive.' At the time gears was groundbreaking enough that It didn't need exclusivity to push it along.
They use a multiplatform engine, it wouldn't be all that hard to crank out a PS3 version, but their contract won't let it be done. MW2 is making tons more money than gears ever did that's the reality, with an active fanbase on both consoles. Microsoft got the far better end of the bargain, not to say epic didn't do well off it - Especially if exclusivity covers a 3rd game, now that the PS3's user base is close to the 360s. Covering over 1.5 million sales on PS3 is something even Microsoft ...
Does anyone think this will become defacto standard for use in FPS games? I know the wii fans usually say wii controls work better for that, but I'm not really sure - this might be a lot more precise than the wii has. I do like the way a controller lets you be lazy and lounge back in the couch, motion controls mean you gotta get active, or at least spend energy sitting up.
I just hope it works really well with golf games, the wiimote never seemed precise enough. And not to ment...
A lot of us have played with six-axis control, and let me tell you no one wants to have to be sitting up straight for hours to play every game. I can only imagine how tired your hands would get having to gesture your whole hand around.

So the press has to wait another 4-5 months to bash Sony's newest gadget. We all know according to CNET and friends Sony's product will have it's one good thing about it, but everything else about makes it mediocre. Then Natal releases (and be quite a POS, I might add) yet will be the Holiday 2010 rated Must-Buy all over the net, then the mainstream take their news from the cnet guys and it amplifies things. It's not so much the marketing game, it's the press-manipulation game.

I didn't get why Bioshock was as well liked as it seemed to be, I never really got into it anymore than the cool premise. Everything I've seen about Bioshock 2 seems like it's no different from the first game, the environments seem to be identical. You have to reason MS has some kind of rule that you can't leave content out of the 360 version that's included in the PS3 one to pass the approval process. I think that's the sad reality here.

One thing I'm wondering is: Do the games have to be 60FPS to be 3d? Because all the demos have been from 60fps games, that would mean no KZ2, no UC2 in 3d. GOW3 might make it though.
Go play Socom:Confrontation - play the new maps at 8vs8, this is a team game through and through and everyone has a mic in these rooms.
Although if you find yourself in a 32 player room full of noobs not many will have them.
