Yea, like Namco WANTED to develop exclusively for the 360, when they sold a heck of lot more on PS3. Of course money changed hands.

Why is this such an issue, when companies release fake shots (bullshots) of games all the time - which are usually vigorously defended by fans as being legitimate. But faking platform disparity is a huge evil.

Good luck removing your CC info if you paid or XBL gold with it - they won't let you.

Well Sony could have beefed up the GPU a little bit, but still it would be weak compared to today's modern GPUs. Instead they went for a wildcard with the cell and made lots of new things possible, but not feasible to implement for most. Most of PS3's price came from the blue ray drive, the processor has a transistor count that isn't that much higher than the 360's, most of the costs came from developing the chip.

PS Vita might be possible. EPIC needs to show what the U3 engine can do on it.

UC: DF runs at a higher resolution, but Golden abyss will look very impressive and hold it's own on an OLED screen.

Hard to say, but Frostbite 2.0 is using Cell SPUs (pretty heavily it seems I might add). Odds are the PS3 version will edge out the 360 one, but time will tell that's just speculation.

Looks like Doom 4 is getting pushed back to 2013 ish.

True it worked out best for us. But for Sony it cost them a lot of marketshare to MS -selling cheap wins. I'm not going to get into game companies early this gen using full game installs to get lazy with the PS3 port of games. It would have worked out better if MS had one too.

It's clear the PR department was flustered because their attempts to pander journalists had failed with duke. Which is of course the reason 2k chose to hire them. Companies want PR agencies to be successful at raising meta-critic numbers.

5339d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

This is why they hire 3rd parties, so when a group 2k chose to represent them not necessarily does something shady, but gets CAUGHT doing something shady - they can cut and run and look like the good guy. 2k does not deserve a pass here.

5339d ago 1 agree3 disagreeView comment

Don't be naive people, you can bet your ass 2k let hired these guys with the intention they would push the boundaries of ethics. Do you guy remember the Strip joint converted into a press event for Duke Nukem? that was probably the Redner group's doing - of course approved by 2k. But when the sh*t hits the fan it's time to stop approving of their work. These groups are hired to raise meta critic scores unjustly. The point of this article is not a good one, its good that he misse...

5339d ago 1 agree2 disagreeView comment

It's Pretty obvious why these companies are now using 3rd party PR teams to market games - It's because the business they do is shady. They wine and dine journalists, at the same time scheme how to punish journalists that do not play nice. And once someone messes up they can point the finger and cut and run. 2K, NO you don't get off that easy.

Hacking the CIA's website isn't the same as hacking the CIA.

Even though the N64 was more powerful with 3D graphics it completely lacked the almost standard CG video in PSOne games due to CD-rom, and people would often choose the PS over the 64 for that reason. So power is only what you define it as, because some developers will tell you they value disk space more.

Listening to the Devs doesn't always work out best, remember when Sony decided to include a HDD with the PS3?

5339d ago 1 agree1 disagreeView comment

neither will probably have a hard drive of any kind, probably 8gb of flash memory with the option to expand.

5339d ago 0 agree3 disagreeView comment

Well there's people that overestimate it, then there's guys that think 'its just pure LOL.'

I think a rational person who knows plenty about tech/hardware would look at it and see that some developers are able to make use of that additional power, others aren't largely because it's too expensive for them to tinker with.

thought Pandora was better, but you have to pay for that if you don't want to listen to ads. And I hate listening to ads, so this is a good deal.
