Who all would be on board with development costs going even higher? They'll most likely get a bunch of this gen games in 1080p.
I did a little research, the guy who developed it currently has it running on both consoles about the same, the assumption of it being better on the 360 is digital foundries' assumption. If anything reading the guys blog, seems to side with the PS3 which might not pose well for 360 optimizations. This might be a good thing all around, with ps3 devs going back to using spus for things like depth of field(U2)and lighting (ie kz2) instead of Anti Aliasing.
This guy is horribly pro 360, it always shows up in his analysis's.
"Expect to see it being utilised on a great many console projects in the future, especially on Xbox 360 where GPU resources are typically more plentiful than they are on PlayStation 3."
This is almost laughable - yet DukeNukem (the first game to actually use the tech) came out much better on the PS3 performance wise yet according to him expect this technology to benefit the 360 ...
You do realize how many Perfect scores have to be given for a game to be in the 90s on Metacritic? There shouldn't be as many games int he 80s or 70s and there should be very, very few in the 90s; if reviewers were being hard.
Considering these 'journalists' go around on these paid for 'junket tours' and accept freebies to no end; while at the same time reviewing the products from publishers of these products; everyone has a right to question these guys review scores. Credibility left the building a long time ago. Eliminating the perception of impropriety is an afterthought for these guys.
It is understandable that people come out to post when a game they really are hoping to do wel...
They'll both get high scores, EA does fancy review events at hotel suites too now.
more like they saw a couple big sites trash a game, so they figure it's 'ok' to trash it too without having the objective spotlight cast on them. If a game wasn't trashed by some of the big boys they'd be much less likely to do so. It's like they have to have a point of reference to a so called 'more legitimate' reviewer to hold their own legitimacy.
This is kind of how I imagine Nintendo's first party titles to look on the Wii U.
radphil is right, if you used the credit card to pay for live they don't let you change the details or remove the card, even on xbox.com. I do believe the credit card thing does have some legitimacy, it just has no point showing up in this fanboy article. It's a stretch to connect safety from hackers and aggressive anti-consumer business practices. Even if you did remove the card MS/Sony might still have record of it to be potentially hacked.
IGN isn't the best, but it's not like everyone else is that much better. We don't really have quality journalism in gaming. Inconsistencies like GTA4 and CoD were the result of journalists getting pandered and bought into hype and yea it does tend to tarnish these site's reputation, and quite frankly they deserve flak for it. IGN does have some fanboy editors, but they have them for each console, so it's not like one console is running away with an unfair advantage (like &...
Eurogamer is known for slamming crapware games, kudos for that; I'm not sure that they're too impartial, they tend to be particularly harsh to big name Exclusives, slightly more so on the PS3 side. IGN tends to celebrate crapware more than usual, but are impartial on big name games.
When will people learn, when a game takes 7-8 years to make it's usually a BAD sign. Remember Too human; GT5 underwhelmed, so did Alan wake, even Splinter Cell conviction, and I'm not going to go into FF14 (over 5 years in development and still rushed ><). It just means they had to redo the game a few times because what they had was terrible, it usually doesn't mean they started on something and just used the extra years to polish it up.
There are exception...
That's the problem with most online shooters I have, it's just too likely you'll run into some jackass saying "Go back to Call of Duty". or something worse than that usually. It's just too hard for most people to get established into quality clans with good people - which seems to be the only way currently to prevent that kind of behavior.
Word is this is Team Siren's next title; it's about time they came out with something. Siren: Blood curse was a really great game. There's lots of promise with the dev team that's behind this game.
yep, at the very least don't use the same password you use for email or facebook or anything else that you need secure.
There's fanboys in the hacking community just like anywhere else. Hacking a PlayStation site is not helping fanboy's of other consoles case that PS3 fanboys are somehow more irrational than other console fans. It actually makes PSfans appear to be the more legitimate group.
I would consider N4G a target if PSU was.
Yes, in fact I would recommend you take all details off all your internet accounts, don't use the same passwords on these sites that you do for you email accounts or facebook.
Well they have money, but they also have shareholders to answer to, and they weren't making a lot of money back when they were shelling out 50mil for GTA4. There's plenty of shareholders that don't see much of a point in the xbox brand, because it's cost MS a fortune, and isn't very profitable to have to compete with Sony. If 360 goes back into the red, there's a chance xbox might be done.
The nvidia story was false I believe, but who knows. Right no...
It's just too expensive to buy exclusives with 50mil PS3s out there, and wiiU about to join the fray. They were able to do it early on in this gen because Sony wasn't projected to sell many units of each game.
Ok. so now a former PR person for Microsoft Game Studios is reviewing 360 (timed) exclusives?? IGN, you are a joke. This whole review comes off like a plug for Kinect.
