I do get the impression critics will not score U3 like U2, or at least hold it to unrealistic/unfair expectations because U2 was so successful. There's a sense that because the last game got it's fame - they won't give the new one the same recognition just to try to share the spotlight. No U2 isn't perfect, it can be boring, but so can ANY game.

If Uncharted 3 sucks and If games 'journalism' tells us it sucks are 2 very different things.

This kind of spoiled Sony's show for me dang it, oh well I'm sure there will be something else new there - as well as more info on their top games.

MMOs are the future - Sony knows it and they're willing the roll the dice. Of course it's a very, very risky roll. These games take on massive budgets, when they flop - they flop big time. I Can see it: it will only take one 'hit' and once that happens it will begin to steam roll it's way over the competition like WoW did. If you think Call of Duty is successful, you can't imagine how many times over successful a well designed MMO could do.

Reviews are bullshit, but unfortunately everyone needs quality control and we seek legitimate sources to tell us whats good and what's not. When the best sources we got (I Know pretty sad) are doing a poor job at being objective, and not doing what they're supposed to - it means people are going to be pretty upset. Because you yourself may be intelligent enough to see past one bad review, most are not - and many people actually think games journalism is legitimate.

Very few people look at critic reviews and base their purchase decisions for movies on it and if you go over there, you'll see that many, many movies are dogged; unlike Videogames.

It makes sense because Movies are going to be in a complete form no matter who makes it. In videogames, you can have some games using horrible controls, glichy graphics and bugs galore - so you do have to be more choosy - It's not just about story and visuals in videogames.

The specs show we'll see a $300 price point if Nintendo has the balls to be aggressive, and they will. Which pretty much guarantee's PS3 will drop to $200. This isn't the handheld market where they can gouge early adopters at will.

The fact that Konami reviled the new contra just calling it 'C' in the teaser trailer AFTER this guy did his leak shows it just might be true after all. That and the snatcher poster found in kojima's office, relating to his hint about a game that seems to be Snatcher.

Yea not going to happen, if it's worth mentioning Team Bondi has a lot of the people that were part of the getaway team and as a result LA Noire plays similar to the Getaway. LA Noire is the closest to the Getaway we'll ever see.

You're defending Call of Duty Elite so I'll share my views:

Auto-renewing subscription fees take advantage of people, there's no two ways around it. People simply forget to cancel, or decide not to because the process of cancelling is a lot of work. They make money out of peoples negligence. Sure I know you can say it's your own fault for not being responsible - I know I wouldn't fall victim of this myself. But I tend to look at the bigger picture and de...

I don't deny that there are more PS3 fans here, but why is it that way? This site covers all websites in the gaming media. I often wonder if the reason is just that they're more vocal about setting the record straight because it needs to be done. When I smell BS from some website, I investigate; and feel obligation to question authenticity and inform others when it should be.

Secondly I've read the comments of many other sites, and maybe it's my own view, bu...

lol there is some sense of loyalty there, I don't think anyone's truly immune to it. What bugs me the most is that other reasoning is often thrown to the way side highlighting the 'product loyalty' aspect. There's lots of reasons why people could be mad about Insomniac going multi-platform.

All I see is more and more 'ps3 fanboys' this 'ps3 fanboys' that. You barely ever see the term xbot or whatever anymore.

When you don't have a solid argument you resort to lower means to defend yourself - by attempting to discredit your opposition. Why is there this ridiculous effort to try to discredit 'PS3 Fanboys?' As if the fans of other platforms are somehow not capable of having strong slanted opinions toward their platform of choice. Give a ...

I agree with your statement, it's just that getting more money doesn't always equate into getting more quality talent - or even games getting higher development budgets. Some games have higher marketing budgets than game budgets, so that money might just be there to trick us into buying the game instead of improving it. That and Sony isn't known to skimp on paying for game budgets, like 3rd party publishers.

Look at thatgamecompany for instance and Journey - th...

Having a developer not limited to the limitations of one console and instead the lowest common denominator of 2 is good enough reason for some to be upset. There's a sense that graphical fidelity and amount of content will be sacrificed.

Gamespot is probably mad that Sony gave IGN permission to show their review first.

Sony doesn't hold 'Review Events.' Many reviewers picked Killzone 3 apart because Sony didn't provide 'proper time to analyze the multiplayer' which is code for not paying for a fancy hotel suite and giving them a whole weekend to do what they like or review the multiplayer (Like Activision did, and Bungie/Epic does). It's a subtle message from reviewers that publishers need to play ball if they want good reviews for their AAA game - I'm not even sure that th...

Is it so hard to believe that Gears 3 is really the only big game coming out exclusively for the 360 this whole entire year? (unless you count Forza 4) But according to some of you - no that couldn't have any effect on high pre-order numbers. It's a legitimate argument. I guess this is a 'win' for the 360 or something like that.

They filled a whole disk with PS2 level textures, so no they didn't. If you want PS2 graphics maybe the next GTA won't be limited by DVD9.
