I have a PC and PS5 combo, reason being aside from exclusives is that some games are just better experienced on a big TV with a controller while others are better experiences on PC. For example I personally couldn't enjoy Uncharted, The Last of Us or God of War on anything other than my LG C1 with a controller in hand, while I can't imagine playing Modern Warfare 2 or The Witcher or Cyberpunk on my PS5 and sacrifice 90-120fps, mouse keyboard and more focused monitor which is better su...
After the incredible Arkham trilogy, this just looks terrible. I can't believe how bland it looked, all four characters seemed to play almost identically. Not much better than Gotham Knights. And it seems to continues DC's trend of assassinating its own heroes, this time literally.
After that excellent paragraph I'm definitely buying the game! At full price too!
My combo is PC and PS5. Switch Games are amazing but Nintendo's infrastructure and marketplace puts me off. Decade old games still go for full price and hardly have specials.
It gets even better when you realise that the generation hasn't really kicked into gear yet, we've had some ground up PS5 games like Demon's Souls and Ratchet and Clank but it's mostly been cross-gen. Which means, coupled with VR2, there's a serious kick ass set of system highlights still to come. I think Spider-Man 2 is going to be mind- blowing as the first new PS5 only game, with Insomniac geared to go after getting their feet wet with Ratchet.
Likewise ufo8mycat you are getting confused or rather blurring the argument between a reimagining and a remake. Final Fantasy 7 and Resident Evil 2 are not 1 to 1 remakes, they are reimaginings of the original experiences. Direct remakes would be rebuilt from the ground up exactly how they were all those years ago, fixed cameras and aging mechanics and all.
Demon's Souls and Dead Space are 1 to 1 remakes, taking the original and remaking it from the ground up while also...
Quick Santa Monica, release a free update for Ragnarok in 2023 so you can compete again without Elden Ring and The Witcher 3.
Oh wait, Portal RTX should beat all these games!
Stupidity of this is unbelievable.
(Let's not even mention the difference in the number of reviews)
Perhaps that's why Kratos couldn't resist.
@Mr Pumblechook Sounds like bull from EA's PR room, because nothing stops Activision giving you a digital code to download the game at the very least. Some at least give you a steel book with a download code.
I maintain the belief that a limited Collector's Edition should always come with a physical copy of the game, although this is becoming less of a thing with cross-gen and Sony's disc/discless PS5. But to not even come with the game at all even in digital fo...
Why the living F would you pay that amount for the "Collector's Edition" and then still have to fork out $60-$70 for the actual game? What a way to reward loyal fans.
It's at this point you have to start accepting that maybe we the consumers are the problem, because this is total bull.
That's an easy one to answer.
Survival horror elements completely died at the expense of action. I will never forget opening my inventory and realising I had 800 bullets (literally) and 10 medpacks. At that stage, all fear or item management is deleted, and the game became a sub par shooter.
Garbage story. Co-op to further dump on the original concept of Dead Space. Snow concept was barely used apart from necromorphs jumping up out of it.

You're entitled to your opinion about fun, but calling that weak voice acting and annoying dialogue "charming character banter" is where I start remembering opinions can be wrong too.
I wanted to mute the dialogue after 5 minutes of sampling the demo.
I think the problem is we're all tired of generic awkward protagonist number 64 who has a quippy one liner to every situation and can't be differentiated from any other Marvel character. The idea of the "every man" protagonist has been watered down, because the "every man" doesn't have that kind of bravado in the face of danger or a sassy attitude every 4 and a half minutes or a built in joke book like it's Chandler from Friends. An every man would be someo...
I can see the next game tackling Egyptian mythology. Ra, Anubis, Demons, Sphinx, Pharaoh's, it's basically lined up for an epic God of War title! Even though Ragnarok brought a solid ending to Kratos' storyline, there's still room for the story to progress as the final prophecy of Faye has yet to come true. The next chapter in the series could take us to that.
I also agree with commenters here that Kratos is God of War. I absolutely don't mind playing as...
I'm so bored of hearing about the 10 dollar price hike for games. Not only has Microsoft followed in that trend, but at least Sony justifies their game prices with quality. That's consistent quality since the PS3 generation, and technologically they are always pushing the bar, see Naughty Dog and Santa Monica or Dreams or Insomniac Games for examples. In a world where literally everything has gone up in price, this is the first price hike for games that I can remember. There's no ...
I couldn't agree more with your comment. However once upon a time Halo was too big to fail, Gears was getting there too and Mass Effect. Like you said anything can turn when badly managed or the audience isn't there. And I don't believe in the strength of the games pass audience for a moment. You'll play CoD for a time because it's there, but without purchase inventive, a significant chunk of the audience Thanos-snapped away and with tons of options available constantly, s...
To be honest, if this deal goes through I can only see negatives for these franchises and on the worse end of the spectrum I see them losing market dominance. PlayStation has had the largest install base and physical sales, you're literally left hoping that Game Pass makes all these titles a success and I do not see how. Sales > 'free' downloads. There's just no way, no matter how lucrative the deal, that Game Pass can lead to greater success than industry leading sales gen...
I recall Call of Duty Modern Warfare letting you optimise and download textures in the background and prior to launching the game. I would imagine that games like Callisto Protocol should allow you to download or load all shaders prior to launching the game to avoid the stuttering problem on Unreal. The big concern is that how was this not picked up prior to launch? It must have been glaringly obvious from the YouTube Videos and Digital Foundry video I've seen.
A shame ...
I read this in the voice of Kratos xD
If by that you mean a game no one will buy but will add "total enemies cut down by the sword" stats to GP then sure.
