Every generation? You mean every year, Jin! It's simply because Xbox delivers everything except amazing games.

I hated this game. A never ending walk down linear, unimaginative corridors with brainless battles that I kept getting told "gets good after over 20 hours". I gave up after 15, a game isn't worth my time if it only gets good in that amount of time - that's the length of entire games elsewhere.

Sorry, not buying it. This game had no respect for your time or intelligence. Final Fantasy 16 and 7 Remake hooked me instantly or within the first hour by comparis...

@Hofstaderman That's the best description of him I've seen on this site.

100% this comment. These hackers are pathetic degenerates and I hope they get caught and rot. Instead of using their skills for something useful to the world they go after Insomniac of all developers.

Maniacmayhem, you're just embarassing yourself with your thoughtless comments.

There is nothing wrong with an exclusive if you invest in the studio, allocate your game engines, resources and tech to the game and have an actual involvement in the development. You know, how actual good games are made. Look how far Insomniac has come since Sony invested in them. Why the hell should Sony invest in a game and studio, take on publishing costs and provide the resources of Play...

Awesome! What carrying case did you buy? As there is no official one that I'm aware of.

@andy85 Yes, you can connect to a mobile hotspot. I meant you can't connect to public WiFi networks that need an online sign-in, as the Portal has no web browser to access these landing pages.

The rest of your comment, 100%

@Andy85 Fair enough, can't argue with a good third party app. However the majority of consumers would be using the official app, and there are so many variables that can prevent a solid playing experience. I doubt they'll add app support to the Portal, but at least a basic browser to access and validate public networks and the promised Cloud streaming would make it a serious device for its price.

You've clearly watched one or two videos that serve your confirmation bias.

Before You Buy
IGN
UrAVGConsumer
SpawnPoint
Digital Foundry

And at least three other YouTube channels I've seen reviews on all confirmed the device works fine and that they're actually surprised by how enjoyable it is to play on.

It's total horseshit to even suggest it can be "worse" than a phone sinc...

Why is this confusing for you? The product page describes exactly who it's for. It's a remote play device - it's to play your PS5 games wherever you have a decent WiFi connection, best use case would be in your house in a more relaxing environment or whilst your TV is being used by people you're sharing it with, like kids or partners.

You can't use it in places like airports that require you to sign in via a web browser to access WiFi, as the Portal has...

Pre-ordered mine! Arriving at the end of February only though. As a dad of two, this is exactly what I'm looking for. Going to be invaluable to chip away at objectives, side missions and the greater backlog.

Also going to sell my Pulse 3Ds and get the Elites

Works for me. Stick to single player unless you're going to make a compelling multiplayer package like Killzone or SOCOM.

Awesome!!! Hope they read your mail and had a good "we got you, bro" moment with their development team ;)

Refreshing to hear a proud developer stand their ground on a quality product and speak the truth. Can't wait to play it after Spider-Man 2.

I was right to be worried about this game in my previous comment. It simply can't take that long to at least have a trailer or working concept so long after the first iteration. That said, I'd rather Naughty Dog avoid releasing a Redfall and focus on their new Single Player IP and cool it with their current franchises.

What makes this so much worse and made me lose all goddamn respect for the wimps at Bethesda is that the very same gamers they are criticising and turning against are the same damn gamers who made Skyrim a industry crashing success despite THREE GENERATIONS (more than a decade) of re-releases and ports!! The modding community is STILL active and people STILL play it. That they have the sheer audacity to do what they're doing in their treatment of gamers' negative reactions to Starfiel...

I'm sorry but don't cry about making video games, this is life in general. Welcome to adulthood. Few people know how much effort and time and blood and sweat and tears goes into writing books, making movies, art, music, YouTube channels, just doing their jobs or whatever else. But hard work and effort doesn't always mean quality and it doesn't always deserve praise. If you create a sub par product, we as gamers remain the ones who PAY for it. We invest OUR time into it. So it&...

I agree with you Fox except about the PS4, as it was one of the best generations for PlayStation so I'm absolutely glad it exists. Perhaps the PS4 Pro could have been skipped, but I was glad to play God of War at 60fps ;)

@sparky Tell me your head is firmly planted in the sand without telling me your head is firmly planted in the sand.

Here are two facts for you that scratch the surface of Microsoft's decline:
1. Microsoft has diminished the quality of ALL of their once great franchises, namely Gears of War, Halo, Forza (see latest release)
2. Microsoft has failed to deliver or invest in new games despite acquiring a multitude of studios many years ago. The Initiative w...

The difference is Sparky that we can provide mountains of evidence over a decade for why Xbox is in the position it is in and why we are critical of Microsoft and their practices. You can't substantiate your view of the "Xbox tax" beyond anecdotal evidence which is flimsy at best.
