You clearly didn't do your homework if you didn't know that this game was a timed exclusive - it even had timed exclusivity on Epic Games before going to Steam.

Great game, I loved it, visuals and music were awesome and DualSense features were great.

Try less hard to push the idea that exclusives are dying just because Microsoft gave up on them and needs to go multiplat to make up those acquisition costs.

Thanks for bringing up a bunch of garbage thoughts that never crossed my mind when playing the first game because I was too busy playing the game to worry about the portrayal of the physical bodies of gods.

Foolish me, when I read the title I thought we were talking about game mechanics.

Piss off, honestly, with this asinine bottom of the barrel try-hard-to-be-relevant trash.

Don't care about length, care about how good the hours are. Not every game needs to be 50 hours and take over your life or become a second job. Not sure why this is a debate. It's good to see what started out as basically an indie game become a big triple A title.

The concern however is whether what was once a niche game can justify its investment with its reviews and performance. I suspect MS will have to go multiplatform by next year with this one. I maintain that...

@Andy85 Don't forget the remakes for Demon's Souls and Shadow of the Colossus, two of the best PlayStation games around!

And beyond PlayStation, what about Resident Evil 2 and 4? RonnySins wins the award for dumbest opinion!

@TheEroica Understand the meaning of the words you use or don't use them. An apologist argues in defense of something controversial or problematic. Pointing out relevant facts that an analysis or article did not take into account is constructive feedback and discussion. There are great movies, games and other forms of art that don't sell as expected, but later gain financial success.

Example? The Godfather Part 2 underperformed financially compared to its predecesso...

What stutter do you get? I use one in South Africa and honestly the issues are minor, it's extremely playable and very good that sometimes I forget I'm not playing natively, apart from slightly less smooth motion and occasional dips which is typical of any streaming. What's your setup like? Maybe I can offer some tips.

I've played Spider-Man, Final Fantasy 16, Tales of Arise and Final Fantasy 7 Remake on Remote Play, all fast paced games and had a great exp...

You're welcome bud, people often overlook Remote Play on their phones or laptops. Although trust me, I had a BackBone PlayStation edition and played a fair bit of Final Fantasy 16 and other games on it, but while it's a cool gadget it cannot in any way compare to the experience of the Portal. I now only activate remote play on my phone if I want to carry out some quick function on my PS. Just can't go back to mobile after having the large vibrant screen of the Portal that doesn...

Awesome, you're going to love if if you're looking for extra or more comfortable game time, videos don't do justice how good the build quality is and how great it is to hold and play on, and how light it is. Your best bet is probably to test remote play on your phone with a DualSense just to make sure it's working, free and easy way to test Remote Play before you get a Portal. Will allow you to map out any weak spots in your house, or whether you need a range extender.

Hi there, no lag. I have a 500mb connection with about 200mb upload. I have a TP Link Archer AX53 Router with a TP Link RE605X WiFi Range Extender and one mesh network, my home plot is 495sqm and I can play fine anywhere in the house, just haven't tested outside but no real need to play there.

I once had insane unplayable lag and disconnects after I set up an IPv6 connection, but as soon as I disabled it my Portal experience went back to seamless and perfect. Not sure w...

The Portal remains the best decision I made with two kids in the house. The amount of gaming time I get in while my five year old watches Toy Story and Dinosaur movies and my two year old watches Blippi is priceless.

And beyond kids, the comfortable and relaxing ways I can now play around the house is unbeatable.

@raWfodog You'd think an analyst would catch these facts, but just goes to show what gaming analysts are made of. We've only in the last year moved to PS5 only games, in addition to the install base cross-gen has been around for years. There are a lot of PS4 players still over there. It's amazing when people compare things whilst isolating all the significant facts.

And Rebirth being a direct sequel is also valid: anecdotally, I've just started FF7 Remake a ...

I loved the demo, but honestly I hold out for reviews just to make sure the game works and there are no deal breakers and to get some clarity on questions I may have before going in. It's just safer that way in this day and age. Before you Buy is probably my go to series. But I wouldn't say reviews dictate my purchasing or playing decisions, rather help with avoidance or "wait for discount" if warranted, given that time is limited.

I mean I enjoyed games l...

@Michiel1989 To clarify, Keanu wasn't giving an in-depth interview about bringing his character to life and what he put into Johnny Silverman during development. He was hyping the game, hence the "you're breathtaking" meme was born.

@Michiel1989 Hey I love Keanu Reeves to death, and I know he was an actor in the game, John Wick and The Matrix all the way, but I'm talking specifically about having him on stage to promote it, not about his actual performance in game- he certainly isn't there to tell you about the game mechanics. Obviously there's a "difference" because he's a character in the game and an actor, but the principle is little different to all the other countless examples, like getting...

That's an arbitrary difference?

Hiring a celeb to promote the game. It's been done since the dawn of time, as far back as Doritogate and further.

What about live action trailers where the actors aren't in the game? What about the skit with Ben Stiller dressing up as Kratos?

All I see around Stellar Blade is fake controversy from people who don't actually care about the issue they're talking about, they just want the ...

How is this different from CD Projekt RED hiring Keanu Reeves to punt their game? Or is it only a crime when it's a hot woman?

Enlighten us as to where Sony is going that's a problem.

@Obersever Every time you reply you do more harm to yourself than anyone else. Foamstars, Rise of the Ronin and Silent Hill 2 are not or are unlikely to be bangers, which is the topic of conversation here. But hey, thanks for listing more PlayStation games, I guess.

The point, which you always miss because you have both a serious comprehension problem and rampant fanboyism, is that Sony and Nintendo CONSISTENTLY release top tier games, Microsoft does not. That Microsoft now...

The competition has nothing to compare he says.

Meanwhile

Nintendo and Sony have put out a multitude of bangers and Microsoft hasn't even lifted off the ground. You're as delusional as you are foolish, making this comment in the same year that Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth and Stellar Blade and Helldivers 2 landed on the competition, and Super Mario Bros Wonder released in just October last year which is probably better than 90% of Xbox's line-up. ...
