AmstradAmiga: I would agree with you if the game was free to begin with, but paying $60 for a game and then not get the whole package (including cosmetics) is bullshit. It's not as bad as lootcrates, but it's still greedy on the part of publishers.

I'm not even sure it would be legal, as Microsoft would basically create a monopoly again on PC, but then again, they don't like to compete so buying a company wholesale would be easier for them.

Nintendo never dominated Europe, that is the point you are missing. Like I said, not even during the 8 bit and 16 bit era, that doesnt mean they were not the most successful however. Like I said, Sony helped grow console gaming, europe is basically PlayStation territorium now. Its not like Xbox has a stronghold in Europe.
If they go all out PC I doubt anyone is going to pay for gold though.
