The 7th gen was the start of anti-consumer crap, and this generation is the culmination.
You should read the description of reviewscores on a per site basis, they all have different takes on what a certain score means.
It's a self-fulfilling profecy, if they don't make great singleplayer games, people who love and buy those games will leave the platform and go elsewhere.
Microsoft don't want to create art, they want to be in control of a closed system where they are getting gold subscriptions and game sales royalties, just like Valve is doing on PC. If Microsoft had more control over the marketshare, I doubt we would see any games from them to be honest.
Phil Spencer is the worst thing to happen to the Xbox brand, he destroyed the concept of exclusives on the platform and turned his back on singleplayer epic games (where is Fable 4, where is Scalebound, where is Phantom Dust). This guy is the reason for the downfall of Xbox, they had an oppertunity to turn things around after E3 2013, but they have failed to do so. Phil Spencer is bringing down Xbox as sales are down on both hardware and software, and their upcoming games are a joke tbh.
No workplace is perfect, and when you deal with people there is of course going to be conflicts from time to time. Point is, we don't know either way in this case who is to blame, but CDPR at least treats their costumers with respect, something you can't say about some of the big publishers like EA.
This is the power of exclusives, and I'm happy that PS4 and Switch can co-exist with their own libraries of games, we need japanese game development to blossom. If anything has showed me in the last couple of years, is that western developers are slowly killing the hobby that I love with multiplayer centric games, microtransactions, loot crates etc. At least with Sony and Nintendo and the independent devolpers there is hope.
I hope this game comes to the west, day one....

Big publishers like EA is the problem, it's a giant body of costs that an independent developer doesn't have to deal with. Big publishers have grown too big for their own good, and they are too big to change, it's just the suits on top who want's to maximize profit to fill their own pockets, whiping their asses with the dollars we spend.
Agreed, this game will do great on PS4 and could potentially do great on Switch also.
Cuphead? LOL... yeah, lets compare an indie game platformer (great as it is) with a full blown JRPG with superb anime artstyle and a fully realised story.
Impressive, it seems with Switch and PS4 doing this good, people still know quality when they see it.
