I'm not saying it's "ok" to have 6-8 hours battery Life, I just stated that it is possible (if you know how to use a screw-driver) to fix this. Took me about 5-10 minutes.
DS4 is the best, only thing that is valid from the article is about the short battery life. I fixed this by replacing the original batteries with 2000mah batteries witch nearly double the playtime.
I would love it if Konami made their next Castlevania game like this, but ad a whip that can be used to swing and such. The atmosphere of Castlevania together with the climbing of old cathedrals and castles would be epic.

Yeah, and the Gamecube controller was great, it had some problems (Z-button for example), but it seems they have fixed that with this new controller so...
That should have been the Wii U control that came with the console, thus becoming a standard. Looks amazing!
Seems to me he is talking from a defensive position. He didn't say he would have made different choices in the development of the hardware, witch in a sense is defensive. He has to stand by his platform or he would make it look weak.

People have come to expect 1080p 60fps as standard, it was introduces last generation and is a benchmark that has been the standard for years on PC. The fact that he has to defend the hardware says a lot.
I agree, making the new console B/C will only limit the architecture of the console and tie it down with all peripherals from previous generation.
Nintendo needs to look forward, not backward. Make a solid console with a standard controller. I think the Gamecube pad is a great base for that, if they perfect it they will have a very personal look on the controller (just like MS and Sony does).

abzdiine: Yeah, I agree that it would be spoiling the experience for oneself. I remember when all we had were gaming magazines where you could look at Pictures and imagine what the game would be like. When the game released it had a sense of mystery about it and you could actually be surprised by the content. I will not Watch it either! ;-)
Try playing Forza without any assistances, it's basically what Project Cars is doing - it's a sim racer through and through.
I am still cautiously optimistic about this game.
The important question is, will it have cloth simulation!
