Do it when Halo: ODST comes out.

It'll be more fun.

After I saw this new trailer on Friday, I sat down and played through GOW 1 and 2 again. Then I was sad that I have to wait a while to play 3.

I can see it

"Kratos has an enemy on the ground. He is kneeing it in the back with a firm two-handed grip on the enemy's head. The enemy is desperately trying to break the grip. You tap the "O" button until there is a prompt for the player to make a quick upward jerk with the controller. Snap!"

Eternal Sonata for the PS3 didn't have any technical issue that I noticed. But, to be fair, I didn't play the 360 version. So I can't make any comparisons.

Im still going to pick it up at some point. I've been a fan of the Star Ocean series for a while so it's only right.

But it's really odd that the majority of the jrpgs released so far are plagued with technical issues--stuttering frame rates, choppy animations, ridiculous load times, etc.

Truthfully, if SE wanted to purchase a western studio I wouldn't pick Eidos.

Aside from Tomb Raider, Eidos' most popular series was the Legacy of Kain franchise. But I love the LOK and Soul Reaver series too much to see it milked past its relevance as Tomb Raider was.

From a gaming stand point, it would be a waste of money.

But on the flip side, IF they purchase Eidos, at least they'd have more hands to work on all the other projects SE decided to focus...

And when the March NPD comes out, I'll be too busy still playing Killzone 2, SF IV, Demon Souls, Star Ocean 4 and Resident Evil 5 to actually care.

Either do a "New Super Mario Bros." style game
Go back to 2D and use the "Castlevania" model

or

Take the blue hog out back and "Old Yeller" him.

Based on previous blog posts, most people assumed they were going to start showing commercials the week of the 15th. So it's nice to see that the rumor mill was right.

First off, the PSP DOES have an integrated store. I'm looking at it right now.

Second, comparing the PSP to the Ipod is ridiculous. Especially where sales are concerned. The PSP was released in 2004--the first gen ipod (because he is counting all versions) was released in 2001. If the PSP can't reach 150 million sales in 8 years, then I'd say you have a point.

Third, how do you expect the next PSP to have all the features you want--two analog sticks and be a phone--w...

Actually RJ, history revolves around rape too.

Conquerors, almost 100% of the time, raped the women of captured villages. The various Mongol Hordes were notorious in this practice. In fact, there was a study a few years back that showed 1 out of 3 Chinese have Mongolian genes and 1 and 5 Russians have them.

Even the English did it when they were conquering Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

The notion that rape was demeaning to a woman wasn't even ta...

People seem to be missing the point of this whole thing.

Yes, rape is horrendous and those who do it should be castrated without anesthesia. But to say THAT crosses the line in gaming and taste when, in another context, you'd lambaste and shout "free speech" at certain governments for wanting to ban violent games like Manhunt (which depicts gruesome executions and is nothing more than playing a snuff film) is extremely hypocritical.

The truth is, you cann...

I understand the reasons for the merger. But you have to think that many at the top of both companies believed they were creating an uber-rpg making company--what with the franchises under their wing.

As for Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within--that alone should have barred any Square execs from taking control of SE. It's apparent with that movie that they have no clue what appeals to the fans of their most popular franchise.

Nai

While I get your point, I have to correct you on Konami.

Konami has plenty of other franchises than MGS that sell.

Castlevania
Contra
Dance Dance Revolution
Pro Evolution Soccer
Silent Hill
Suikoden
All the TMNT games
Yu-Gi Oh, both the video game and card game

Edit:

Dang Mep, you beat me to it.

The problem is that Square and Enix merged in the first place.

When they were their own companies, they were number 1 and 2 in the rpg business. The competition between the two drove them to create some of the best rpgs of the last several generations and, because they were vying for the cash of consumers, to constantly push the envelope in terms of creating new and innovative worlds.

But when you merge the top 2 talents, you tend to become complacent and arrogant. ...

He has his bone claws in the scene with the helicopter. He is dragged from the wreckage to the facility where he gets the adamantium as seen in the next cutscene.
