Hmm personally I'd have put Halo 3, Project Gotham Racing 3 and Forza Motorsport 2 on that list.
This game is worth every penny, starting playing it last night on the 360 and downloaded it tonight for the PSN due to friends being split over two formats. Curiously I was still having trouble getting on to a server tonight on the 360 yet logged in on my first attempt on the PS3. IIRC the developers said it was easy making the levels for this game from the old BF1942 on the PC which I loved so I'm hoping they will continue to support the game with DLC and start porting over some more maps fr...
OH HAPPY DAYS!!!!!!!!! Been a fan since the first game on the PC, awesome!!!
This is not news, its an opinion piece, please stop posting this garbage or at the very least use the appropriate channels
If I was paying for the service then perhaps but the PSN is free, they run a large number of dedicated servers for games and you don't get bombarded with adverts. Someone has to pay for the bandwidth being used for each query sent by these kinds of trophy card sites and you can be sure those sites make money from advertising so why should they be able to use up bandwidth from Sony?
Look at the prices Microsoft charge now for peripherals such as the HDD, the wireless headset, the wifi adaptor etc now imagine how much more they would charge if they were the only manufacturer or even if Sony were the only manufacturer, prices would rise for games thats for sure. You'd soon see the fanboys moaning once they got their way and their choice of console was the only one but now they have to pay more money for games and peripherals.
I'd rather see the Sony's network bandwidth used for the dedicated servers they provide for a number of games rather than cheesy gamer cards.
It would be brilliant, I had the original on floppy disks it was one of my all time favourite games. No fancy looking terrain required just a few re-mastered 3D ships, multiplayer code and whack it up on XBL and PSN and let the good times roll!!
So to celebrate Independance Day they give you two shots of Japanese cars and one of a Japanese track? This is a must buy though along with GT5 for my PS3 both will be great games.
I would love to see an X-Wing vs Tie Fighter remake even if it only had multiplayer and was released as an XBL/PSN title but sadly I don't think it is. I spoke to a LucasArts employee at E3 in 2006 and he said there were no plans and likely never to be any plans to do a X-Wing vs Tie Fighter game because the hierachy at LucasArts didn't feel it would be a profitable project and that all their resources were going into first and third person action/adventure titles. I'd love to be wrong but it...
I wasn't sure if I'd like L4D or if it was worth the money but then they ran a free weekend on Steam and I ordered it for the 360 that very weekend.
Its Wipeout 2D!
From the article: "Another reason against this release date is the fact that it wasn't announced at E3. E3 is the biggest trade show for games, it would make sense for Sony to announce the game's release date at E3 but they didn't"
They announced GT for the PSP at E3, why would they overshadow that big announcement with another for GT5 and have the media totally bypass GT PSP and give all their column inches to GT5. The Tokyo Game Show runs in September and is on home...
Its about time the prices dropped. I have an Elite so already have a 120GB HDD but I have mates who now want to upgrade and won't pay the ridiculous price for the HDD's. I recently bought a 500GB HDD for my PS3 for just over £80 so while the price is a lot better its still rather high. If Microsoft really want to push digital distribution they should lower the prices of their HDD's instead of keeping them high and reaming their loyal customers who may want to follow Microsoft's digital d...
Looks fantastic, I'm looking forward to both Forza 3 and GT5 and will be buying both the day they release. I like to see screenshots and video footage like this that promotoes the game I just wish the Turn10 guys would stop beating their chests and feeding the fanboys. Geez we could have two great racing game releases on two formats over the next 12 months, thats cause for celebration not ripping each others hair out.
Thats how to do an interview! no chest beating or comparing your product to others and putting those other products down, honest straight answers. Thats what I want to hear from a developer, not the over indulgent self gratifying cheast beating we've had from the Turn 10 team. Let the marketing boys do their stuff and lets just have developers making great games.
As far as a release of GT5 I'm really hopeful it will be a Christmas 2009 release and they come up with a new PS3 b...
I'm a PSP 1000 owner and have a PS3 and when the PSP Go was announced I was very keen to get one but I do feel the price is a little high so instead of being a day one purchase for me I think I'll sit it out for a while until it drops in price but I will start to buy games digitally as Sony don't appear to have a system to convert my existing UMD games to digital format.
Considering the low capability of the Wii's hardware it could run from a digital watch battery or maybe even clockwork.
"for Nintendo, the future is here. The future is now" Really? with an overclocked Gamecube that struggled to compete even against its last gen rivals?
I shudder to think what a 250GB or 320GB 360 drive would cost, I'll hold on to my 120GB drive in my Elite for now. The HDD pricing is ridiculous, for the price of the 120GB 360 drive I was able to buy a 500GB for my PS3.
