Its just shocking to think he could have shot the guy whilst playing and then fled the scene without even logging him off so his stats wouldn't drop.
Its pathetic that sites like this ignore logic and go for the attention grabbing flamebait headlines but its worse still when fanboys post the news here and give them hits.
Posters here really need to grow up and not post tit for tat bad news stories/blog entries just because their format has had some bad news posted. I don't doubt for a minute this story was approved by 360 fanboys after the recent bunch of stories about Halo Wars being a failure. Just let it go. I own both sy...
Anyone who thinks you can't have an RTS on a console really hasn't put too much thought into it, snobby or otherwise. The gamepad makes a great FPS controller - I say that as a die hard PC RTS fan from the first Command and Conquer, Warcraft and Age of Empires games right through to the current ones. All you need is an analogue stick for the mouse with two buttons to replace the mouse buttons, everything else is a bonus. Ensemble did a great job with the control scheme for Halo Wars making it...
Microsoft won't let this happen, they will break the bank to keep Gears 360 exclusive and Sony just won't want to spend so much money to get Gears on their system when they already have their own exclusive FPS games such as Killzone and Resistance Fall of Man.
There will be a lot of PS3 fans that would give this a miss as its always been a 360 format title and it may even hurt 360 sales as die hard 360 fanboys boycott it because their beloved Gears has gone multiplatform.
He may well have been an ex Sony employeee - the janitor
You'd have to be pretty ill informed as these podcasters are to not understand Halo Wars was an RTS. Microsoft marketed it as an RTS, hyped it as an RTS for years and then we had countless media stories about the downfall of Ensemble the team behind the game. As a gamer you'd have to have been living under a rock to have not known it was an RTS. The reason its at no.9 in the XBOX Live online chart is because its an RTS. Look at the top few titles - all the most popular FPS genre.

Thats a nice bundle to get someone into the XBOX scene with two cracking titles. One gripe though about the Elite as an Elite owner and thats the lack of black accessories. In the 1 on 1 interview at BitBag Greenberg put a lot of emphasis on the Elite yet its really poorly supported in terms of accessories as everything is white. How hard would it be to make some black casings for the wireless headset, quick charge station, chatpad, wireless adaptor, official steering wheel etc.
The fact that so many real world drivers use it as a training tool show how realistic it is. Other sims have a lot of catching up to do but I think now iRacing has raised the bar particulary in its use of laser scanned tracks which other developers are now slowly starting to use.
Its perfectly possible, games on the PC have had head tracking via TrackIR for years, Armed Assault had it. There are free apps to make a standard web cam track head movement so its perfectly possible to do it with the Playstation Eye or XBOX 360 Cam
Its a good article but the console format is still pretty safe for an online player. The PC not only has all of the cheats and game glitches mentioned above but you also have hackers breaking apart these games and then passing on these files forother players to easily alter the game to give them an unfair advantage. As a PC gamer for many years I still prefer to play online on XBOX Live or PSN because I know the chances are if someone does get the better of me they are more likely to be doing...
Microsoft are just great at marketing their games while Sony have been pretty poor. Look at the hype around Halo 3 and yet I can't be the only one a little disspointed by the graphics and not overawed by the multiplay yet Killzone 2 is a fantastic game but if you took two life size cardboard cutouts of Master Chief and a Helghast soldier into a town centre and asked people to identify them more people would recongise Master Chief and be able to identify the brand he belongs to. Microsoft have...
Its not down to money, they still have a strong reason to be developing for the PC format - World of Warcraft and I would think that future versions of CoD would come out on the PC format but maybe this is the start of a slow movement towards consoles where their product is far less likely to be pirated and hacked to pieces.
This is the CEO of a rival site saying YouTube is in trouble. If I were a betting man I'd wager YouTube/Google will still be around in 20 years where as Fliqz is more likely to be the one who will disappear.
The PSP isn't a failure. It still sold remarkably well despite not following Nintendo down the shovelware, kiddie game route. Just how many pokemon or virtual pet games do you need for crying out loud! The PSP was Sony's first attempt, and what a machine it was and with the online Store and PS3 integration the future is looking good for a PSP2 I know I'll be keeping an eye open for Sony announcements this E3
The boomerang controller looked awful and didn't look like it would be comfortable. People just wanted it because it looked different but the Playstation controller has been refined and improved since their first console and is pretty much spot on apart from maybe one or two improvements. The 360 controller is also pretty much spot on.
Yes you can shop around but I'd prefer an established outlet over some flaky Ebay vendor. Besides which its laughable that the 120GB HDD still costs $79 when you can buy 2.5" SATA drives over twice the size for that price.
I own a 360 and PS3 and the difference in price and storage options are huge. The 120GB HDD here in the UK costs £79.99 at Amazon, could be an Easter sale price it was recently dropped from £99.99 which other retailers are selling it for, I bought a 500GB 2.5" SATA drive for my PS3 for that price. A 512MB memory card costs £29.99 and yet on the PS3 I'm able to use all manner of portable memory. For £29.99 I can buy a 16GB SD card. Sadly many parents will have been suc...
I think there are a few short sighted people here. This kind of deal brings more product awareness to the Gran Turismo brand, does anyone think that the team of programmers from Polyphony are sweating away in the kitchen and that Kazunori Yamauchi is going to be waitering?
Nothing can prevent it if you own the older models, it is almost an inevitability. I went through two RROD's despite being very careful with all my consumer electronics. My 360's were kept on their own shelf in an open frame type TV stand so it had ample air flow in every direction. It was kept in the horizontal position maximizing its ability to shift air through the system. It was kept clean, the system and the area around it was regularly dusted. The disc's were always kept in their boxes ...
I wish they would finally drop the gMotor engine and push on with a new series based on the Lizard engine that powered RACE Pro on the 360.
