For most of my gaming years I've been a PC gamer but since the current generation of consoles I spend more time gaming on those because of the kind of thing you see in the video. I'm not saying the console versions are cheat free but they are a damn sight cleaner than the PC versions which just get hacked to hell.
I've played the Battlefield series and all its add-ons since the first one on the PC but something in Bad Company just didn't click with me in multiplay like CoD4 did. CoD4 drew me in and I played it regularly even after CoD:W@W came along but only ever occasionally dipped in and out of B:BC. I'm playing MW2 now but really excited to see what B:BC2 brings.

When you start off an apology bigging yourself up about your courage the apology and article loses all credibility. A fireman running into a burning building to save someone takes courage, a soldier on the frontline in Afghanistan has courage but some internet whiner bleating because he thought a game would suck but now wants to take that back because his inner fanboy needs to gush is quite frankly pathetic
I don't believe something as big an update as dedicated server support would be patched in at a later date, it would be a large re-write of the multiplayer code and matchmaking, I'll believe it when I see it.
I can understand they don't have the resources or talent to work across 3 platforms, thats fair enough its their choice to make the games on whatever systems they want to but to take a swipe at the Playstation community is just pretty low. I game on a PC, PS3 and 360 so get the best from each platfrom but I can honestly say I've spent more on PSN content than I have on the 360 and the PS3 has better support for modding, just look at Unreal Tournament 3. I have that game on all three platforms...
If you have a ridiculously high ping then there's not a lot you can do about it but companies have their own ways of working with latency by employing degree's of prediction/smoothing code. When you have a closed system as Microsoft and Sony does its easier to standarize and improve that especially when the service works primarily as a P2P service.

I can't make up my mind whether to buy this or not. I have all of Simbin's games including Race Pro for the 360 but this just feels like more of the same from them. Its time they used their new game engine on the PC and dropped the aged gMotor engine from ISI. Visuals play a big part in immersing the player in the racing environment and while I wouldn't want them to sacrifice the fidelity of their physics for visuals they do look quite poor.
Its ridiculous, just how hard would it be for MS to make a HDD caddy with all the ant-piracy electronics sealed away and then have a slot for you to insert a standard 2.5" SATA drive? For less than the price of the 120GB 360 drive I went out and bought a 500GB SATA drive for my PS3 its just crazy. If Microsoft really want to make the 360 a true media hub stop holding it back with small expensive proprietary drives.
On one hand Microsoft have many millions of users locked into a system because of the money they have spent on it and would likely feel rail roaded into paying the higher price but on the other its features like Facebook and Sky Player features Microsoft has to add as valued added content to justify the current price when their competitors online services are free. I think Midway should have done so much more to promote the game when it faced stiff competition from the likes of Call of Duty. DIRT 2 is great if you use a steering wheel. I liked the forst one so as soon as the demo popped up I downloaded it.
