Got my copy today, I haven't checked the install size but it didn't take too long to install. I'm an impatient gamer so loading times bug the hell out of me but despite all the warning's about the load time with MNR I didn't think it was really that bad.
Sounds promising, I know some people like perks and killstreak rewards but for those who don't and want a more pure FPS game could we please have a game mode where perks and killstreaks are disabled?
One thing I'd like to see in Steam is a game server browser that works for non Steam games like the old Gamespy/Gamespy Arcade app. You can add non Steam games to your Steam games list already but how about letting me browse servers like for IL-2:1946 for example? maybe have a plugin for Teamspeak.
I pay for XBOX Live so if Sony offer the same kind of cross game party system I'd pay for PSN too.
Good to see Jack Tretton is game for a laugh. I'm looking forward to this game and have it on pre-order.
I like Steam, its a decent service but I do agree their pricing is not often competitive with online stores or even the high street stores. They do run deals but for example when Battlefield Bad Company 2 was released it was £34.99 on Steam and I picked up a new copy from an online store for just £24.99. I like the convenience of not having to change DVD's to play games but not £10 more.
I have started to buy more games digitally for my PSP. That really is...
Sony haven't needed to change it because as the article shows the DualShock controller has been carefully improved upon with each new version. I don't think Microsoft need to change the 360 controller much now either though the d-pad certainly needs improving as do the precision of the analogue sticks but they had to bring in changes after the original XBOX controller because it was soo bulky. One thing I would perhaps alter is the triggers on the DualShock 3 but apart from that I lik...
The PC format needs something to unify gamers to give a relatively similar experience to XBL or PSN. I like using Steam, its a pain when I have to use other clients such as Xfire to chat with friends when on my 360 and Ps3 its so easy to contact friends, voice chat, join games they are already playing. The new interface is a big step forward too.
Love the Duke Nukem one though he has lots of quotes like "hail to the king" and "shake it baby" I believe the "Work complete" one belongs to Warcraft III not World of Warcraft.
I never paid any attention to this game until about a week or so ago but now I can't wait for its release, it looks like its going to be a fantastic game. I just hope it lives up to the hype.
Not a problem, upgrading the PS3 HDD was easy. I put a 500GB in mine and filled it with music, games from PSN etc and still have hundreds of GB's free.
A no perk/kill-streak game mode, the game would all be down to skill with the weapons and racking up kills without stupid perks and kill-streak rewards
I have started to play a little more of MW2 again after a long time away playing BFBC2. I already owned MW2 on the 360 and PC but bought it on my PS3 as a few friends had it on that platform also. I was expecting to hate it, to get frustrated all over again with the glitchers, cheats and abuse of perks unbalancing the game but to my surprise actually started to enjoy it again.
I've been a fan of RTS titles on the PC since the original Warcraft and Command & Conquer games. I wouldn't say Halo Wars was a flop but Microsoft didn't seem to get fully behind it. It lacked the depth of other RTS titles but in my opinion but the control scheme showed that an RTS games can be played on a console easily despite my own misgivings being a PC RTS player. I enjoyed the single player in Halo Wars. I'd like to see Sony do something with the Resistance or Killzo...
I'm a 30-something gamer and I'm quite excited about Playstation Move and will buy it as soon as its released. I don't like the Wii, never owned one and all the friends who have bought one have become bored with it. So why am I looking forward to Move then? because the controls offer more than the Wii motion controls which can just be flicked with a wrist. With Move you have to perform the actions required for instance a racket or sword. To me its what the Wii controls should have...
DICE always seems to go the extra mile with support for their games. Whether its new content or just listening to their fans and tweaking the game they continue to support their games long after most other developers have moved on.
Its £22 on Amazon - £22 for a full game I don't know why people are moaning.
Gizmondo bought a phone from someone knowing it did not belong to that person. Its since been claimed that the person who found the phone called Apple to talk about returning it but Apple denied its existence. I don't blame Apple for this, they must get hundreds of crank calls every year when a new bit of hardware is due to be released from people trying to get information. All the guy had to do was get their address, pop it in a padded envelope and send it back but instead chose to sell it t...
Give me a patch that add's base building and I'll buy it, this is not Command & Conquer.
Yes it has. I've never been impressed by the Wii. Apart from the awful graphics the controls are just not accurate enough. That problem led to people just waggling their wrists to do the required movements instead of having to swing their arms in a tennis game for example. The Wii has sold tremendously well but of all the friends I know who own one only really bring it out at a social gathering as a bit of a novelty thing rather than as a bone-fide every day gaming system. The motion cont...
