Hmm no MatchDay or Matchday 2??
There can be selfish players but thats true of any class. I play all the classes in BFBC2, I've unlocked everything for each class but when I play as Recon don't expect me to play your way when I've found a good cover spot. Don't expect me to run and gun because thats what you are doing.
Don't blame me because you ran around in the open spraying bullets like an idiot in assualt class and got your head blow off. Don't blame me that you've used up mo...
I am nearing the end of my contract with my Blackberry Storm and fancy a change. I'm considering Android and the iPhone and currently the iPhone seems to be the one that interests me most with a new model about to be announced.
So far as general smart phone features goes theres not much to pick between either the Blackberry, Android or iPhone as they all make phone calls, push email, browse the web etc. There seems to be better more quality app support for the iPhone and...
I don't believe the publishers and developers have a problem with the average user selling their game privately to a friend or even perhaps on Ebay because swapping games has gone on since the dawn of gaming from swapping selling ATARI cartridges to current DVD and Blu-Ray games. I believe the real problem for the publishers and developers are the likes of Gamestop, GAME and Gamestation. The big high street chains who have the monopoly on the high street and who promote used copies over n...
Just another way for the GAME Group to bleed the gamer till the pips squeak. Companies like GAME are the real reason why publishers dislike second hand sales soo much because they push used games over new titles. This new promotion is a callous scheme to profit from gamers who may be selling their gear through a desperate need for cash quickly in these current harsh economic times.
I don't think its had any hype. This is just a typical Sony release, a nice new IP with plenty to offer and really not much advertising, at least not here in the UK. I've had two emails from Sony and I think I may have seen an advert at the cinema but nothing else. Great game though, lots of fun.
To want to buy a 3DTV you have to have a reason to buy one. Someone has to make the first move making 3D compatible games and as Sony are in the business of making consoles and TV's then it makes sense for them to invest. A lot of people said Sony were crazy to implement Blu-Ray into the PS3 because it was too expensive, games didn't need the space but Sony and their partners won the HD war off the back of that. Analyse that Pachter.
It looks like the wheel cannot be separated from the stand which is a bad move. A good stand will last you years but wheels, especially the cheap Thrustmaster ones do not. My GameRacer Pro seat/frame has lasted me a number of years hard use with my G25 and no Fanatec Porsche 911 wheel.
I'm sure Namco are gutted that their legendary fighting game that has sold millions around the world is not liked by a guy who shaves with a cheese grater.
It will be good but it will almost certainly be more of the same, that doesn't push boundaries. Its good, and it will sell lots of copies but I'm not expecting a revelation when I buy it.
My point was - which your blind hero worship makes impossible for you to see is that it took outside teams to make something of the engine for multi player as Valve as they were back then only seemed capable of following the tried and tested stale death-match and team death-match with perhaps a little CTF thrown in. Back then only Epic with Unreal Tournament offered a decent array of multi player modes. The Call of Duty franchise has built on that as have the likes of DICE. Valve seem more i...
As I quite clearly stated "Valve were not responsible for Counter-Strike or Team Fortress originally" they had to buy in talent else all they had was death match really. I've played Counter-Strike for years and know whats out there but as I pointed out it was not made by Valve originally so as the original question was "But What If Valve Made Modern Warfare 2?" then multi player would be pretty uninspiring and lacking game modes as is the Valve way.
It may have received quicker updates but it wouldn't look anywhere near as good as it does now, multiplayer wouldn't be as fun. Valve were not responsible for Counter-Strike or Team Fortress originally so we would probably just had the tried and tested CTF and Team Death Match modes, no Headquarters, Domination, Search and Destroy. We wouldn't have had a PS3 version or at best it would have been a crappy port handled by another team rushed out the door.
Sony are not relying on Move like the Wii relies on motion controls. Its an add-on - one that I'll buy but I'm buying it to enhance my gaming experience on the PS3 just as I intend to buy Natal for my 360 because they will be fun to use but I'll still be playing HD games on my regular controller too.
But thats what I'm saying, I doubt very much the publishers care too much about the end user swapping games or selling them on as its gone on for years its the national high street chains like Gamestop, GAME and Gamestation that are promoting used sales above new copies that really hurts sales.
I think publishers need to be clearer when they talk about the second hand games market. The likes of you and me selling the games we have finished are really not the problem to the publishers because that kind of trading of games has gone on since the dawn of gaming from Atari cartridges to current generation consoles. I think what does concern the publisher is the high street stores like Gamestop in the US and GAME, Gamestation etc in the UK.
This talk about second hand sa...
Some new maps and new weapons would be welcome.
I couldn't understand the reasoning behind Microsoft paying essentially the development cost of a whole new game - $50 Million for GTA IV DLC when it came out on the PS3 later. If it was 100% exclusive maybe but even so I think I'd rather pay a small start-up studio to develop an interesting new IP for my platform than pay such a huge sum for an add-on. Does the gamer really benefit from this?
I'm sure it won't affect sales, any Halo game will sell in huge numbers. The average age of gamers is rising, particularly on consoles so you're going to have a lot of gamers with young families around them that may have to quit out unexpectedly if something happens around them so I hope this 'quit ban' rule doesn't affect those types of gamer.
