I've been using my iPhone 4 for the last week now and had no issues. I can replicate the problem with the signal bars lowering while I tightly grip my iPhone but I've not dropped a call using that method to hold the phone which to me is unnatural anyway. I'm not excusing Apple it just has not affected me and the use of my iPhone 4.
I really hoped they had held back on releasing Kinect information to really make a big deal about it at E3 but I feel underwhelmed. I do plan on getting it at some point for my 360 but it doesn't look like a 'must have' add-on. The first party studio games looked ok, some pretty boring and not really much in the way of third party support either. He made a big fanfare about developers other than Microsoft Game Studios but then announced what three games? I was hoping to see perhap...
Lets revisit this article once Christmas 2010 is out of the way and MOVE and Natal have been out a few months and sold in their millions. I can't believe anyone is foolish enough to believe either of these techs will not sell. I'm planning on buying both for my 360 and PS3 though at the moment I'll probably buy MOVE first as it seems to cater for a wider variety of games.
I disagree Bob, Halo Reach will be more of the same, Gran Turismo will be that franchises first major release (not counting Prologue) for this generation of consoles. Even as a Halo fan I feel there has been too many Halo releases this generation so the excitement for Reach is minimal for me even though I'm sure it will be a great game and one I will buy the day it releases. For Gran Turismo 5 I can't wait to see it, yes we've had Prologue but that for me just built the anticipati...
Its one of my most anticipated games of the decade. I think the title "Most Anticipated Game of The Decade" would have to be between the two goliaths of console gaming Gran Tursimo and Halo. Halo has had so many games released in the last few years I don't think its anticipated as widely outside of the hardcore Halo fans even though its an FPS I think there are many millions waiting on Sony's E3 press conference for a release date. It doesn't seem that long ago I was wai...
Well I'm planning on buying both MOVE and Natal for my PS3 and 360 but all the talk is that Natal will be priced at Microsoft's usual crazy pricing scheme for 360 peripherals. I'm going to be watching Microsoft's conference at E3 to see what games they have lined up as to me MOVE looks like it will be more useful across a wider variety of games but I guess we will see what Microsoft announces, they have been very quiet on Natal recently so could be holding back something big. ...
Hmm thats very expensive. I am planning on buying Sony's MOVE for my PS3 and Microsoft's Natal for my 360 but at that price I might just wait a while and see if it drops in price and has some decent titles made available for it. For me Sony's MOVE looks like the better system that can be used on a wider variety of games so that will probably be my first choice purchase of a motion control system.
I'll be watching Sony's E3 announcement waiting for a release date!
I know people who have already gone out and bought 3D TV's and own PS3's. Personally I'll wait until I'm sure they won't change the format and render the current tech obsolete before I buy but you're never going to get people to buy 3D TV's unless you produce 3D films and games so it has to start somewhere. I'm sure plenty of people said "I'm happy with my family board games, why would I want to buy one of those new fangled TV's to plug and ATARI i...
I went to the last real big E3 in 2006 before they reduced the size, banned booth babes, tinkered with the format etc and it was great from a gamers point of view. The EA booth was probably by far the best booth IMHO that year and being able to talk to the developers about Crysis before it was release was great.
Its been a surprise hit for me. I only saw the name mentioned on N4G a week or so ago and then the game was released. Its a lot of fun and reminiscent of Kickstart on the ZX Spectrum.
I didn't play much SOCOM Confrontation, it didn't grab me at first but then I came back to it a few months later and learnt the controls and the way the game works and found it fun so I'll definitely be buying SOCOM 4 and the MOVE controllers.
Forza 2 was a really great racing game but for me Forza 3 didn't have the same appeal. I don't whether it was the poor multiplayer or the graphics that never lived up to the promo shots but I don't play it a fraction of the time I used to spend in Forza 2. Turn 10 made a loud of noise and boastful talk when Forza 3 was released and in my opinion failed to deliver. I still play it from time to time, I've got all the content and it is fun to play but nowhere near as fun as Forza...
As my current contract is up in 2 months I'm interested to see what Apple announce tomorrow. I'm currently using a Blackberry Storm but I'm looking towards either the new iPhone or an Android based handset. At the moment the iPhone has my attention partly because of the sheer number of apps available and all easily downloadable from one place (I'm already an iTunes user) so Apple would really have to drop the ball tomorrow for me to look elsewhere though the HTC phones look ve...
I'm enjoying it, hope it gets a patch later to add MOVE support - that would be cool
Its been a while since we've had a truly great driving game on the consoles. The last one for me was Forza 2 which hooked me completely. Forza 3 was a disappointment. Its hard to put my finger on exactly why that is, maybe the poor online or the graphics which didn't live up to the screenshots we saw up to the release. GRID was poor, Ferrari Challenge and Supercar Challenge were ok but were not even as good as the disappointing Forza 3. DIRT 2 was ok for a while but nothing really gra...
This is yesterdays news I already said he was going to defect yesterday: http://n4g.com/news/536027/...
Sev defects to the Helghast
I don't know why people give Killzone 2 such a hard time, it was a great game with a good story for the single player.
This is my first iPhone, I bought mine just days before these reports started to surface and so I was a bit worried about the potential issues. I can replicate the bars dropping if I hold it in a tight grip just like in the video's on the net but it doesn't drop phone calls. To me the way to loose the signal shown in the video's is not a natural grip for me anyway so it doesn't really affect me. I'm not saying its not affected people but I don't think its as widespread...
