Its looking slim pickings for big first party titles on the 360 next year. I'll be buying Gears and Forza for sure but the rest looks pretty uninspiring to me. People keep saying Microsoft hold back on announcements but my opinion is they have always been the first to crow about exclusives. Closing down first party studio's over the last few years is really starting to bite them.
Ridiculous article. I'll buy Forza 4, I enjoyed each of the other three games in the franchise and I think it will be a great game but the article is ridiculous.
1. They are looking at one render not from actual game footage to make a point about graphics. We all know from past experience that screenshots released by Turn 10 did not live up to actual in game footage because they neglected to tell anyone the screenshots they released were from the in game tool which add...
Hopefully I will catch a few of these 'seasoned veterans' unaware's as they see a n00b on the 360 but I've already been playing it since release on the PC and PS3
I've always thought RTS worked ok on a joypad. Realistically all you are replacing is a mouse with two buttons so the extra analogue stick and buttons on the joypad can easily be put to use controlling command menu's that keyboard shortcuts would give on a PC. I'm not saying Move wouldn't work, I agree with you that it would but as intuituve as a joypad? perhaps not.
I think you're always going to be disappointed if you buy Move or Kinect expecting it to transform your gaming world. I have both motion systems and bought them for the extra fun they ADD to my existing gaming habits not to radically transform them. I think that’s why the writer of the article is disappointed because he wants Kinect to do and be everything and its just not going to be able to do that.
I disagree that holding out your fist as if to hold a sword won'...
LOL would love to see the achievement list for this game:
5G - A Quick Fumble, play with any avatars tits for 1 min
10G - I'm Sorry That Doesn't Usually Happen, finish any game type prematurely
15G - Keep Swinging, Join any online lobby with 4 players or more
20G - Me Love You Long Time G.I, Take part in any session with an avatar for 30 minutes
50G - Pass The Cigarettes, complete a full ses...
Overall I'm really enjoying the Kinect as are my family but it does lack the fidelity of the Move in my opinion which I also have at home. Its noticeable in games you can compare such as table tennis which is much more refined in Sports Champions and I feel its a much more skillful game. What would be great is to have this increased resolution and use of bandwidth to track hand rotation so you don't have to do the silly sweeps with your arms to get spin on the ball in Kinect Sports Bo...
I own a PS3 and 360 so I'll play the best both has to offer but Sony seem to have the better lineup. It looks like Microsofts chickens are coming home to roost. They got rid of a lot of first party studio's and let others go independant where as Sony invested in their studio's which is why they look to have such a rich list of titles for releases in 2011. Buying exclusive's doesn't look like a long term gameplan to me and they have been fortunate that Sony's marketing...
I was very critical of the BBC and the media's coverage of gaming in a recent news story. While there were some poorly presented points in that episode, on the whole it wasn't a hatchet job on gaming that I expected to be angered by. The fact that not all gamers suffer from addiction was mentioned a number of times and it was also said that these types of people often have an 'addictive personality' anyway which would lead them to do various things to excess.
Even though it would just look like another copycat move by Microsoft after what Sony has done I'd love to see a re-make of the original Halo. What I'd like to see though is a remake using the latest engine with proper multiplayer support, if its just a touch up and release I'd be less inclined to buy it though I'd probably break down and buy it in the end as I have every other Halo title.
I went with the Playstation Move for my first motion control as I always felt the Wii was really quite basic and lacking fidelity. I bought a Kinect today and loving it! Kinect Sports is a lot of fun just like Sports Champions is on the PS3. So far as the technology goes I think Perhaps the Move has more all-round appeal and of the two sports games I've played I think Kinect Sports just edges it (only just) just because you don't need to buy more controllers for two players but its ha...
Yes my bad, I remember him from his BBC gardening show. Jeremy Vine is pretty good on Radio 2 but as soon as he's on TV on Panorama its like some flicks a switch.
I don't know why people hold the BBC in such high esteem. Maybe they don't live in the UK or are happy to swallow the right wing bias propaganda. The BBC has long since lost its impartiality in my opinion. I used to watch their news channel but bored of its right wing leanings and almost blind support for the Labour party.
The BBC is desperate for viewing figures as they slowly decline in face of the competition from the likes of Sky. I predict this to be a knee je...
Well done Shift 2 team, not only will you have less cars than GT5 or Forza 3 but they will also likely handle as ridiculously as the original SHIfT game. Shift was a huge dissapointment after tey said they were leanign more towards a simulation, the cars drove like you were on a kids merry-go-round it was awful.
Fanatec is definately the way to go for high end. I've got the Fanatec 911 Turbo S and Clubsport pedals and they are fantastic. The only other wheel I'd contemplate is the GT3RS but I also need 360 support and at the moment the GT3RS does not support it.
I can't imagine how much money Microsoft paid to have this exclusivity. Its utterly pointless if the PS3 and PC get the DLC 30 days later, just what is the point of that? I have a 360, PS3 and PC but as talking from a 360 point of view I'd rather Microsoft sink money into developing a new IP or a new 1st party studio. Buying exclusivity is the wrong direction to take in my opinion, Sony investing in their 1st party studio's is the right way to go, they are building something not j...
Bohemia make very realistic games they could do with someone to design their UI's and make their games just a little more accessible. If Codemasters did one thing right with OFDR it was the UI and ease of finding a game online
Steam is wiping the floor with Microsoft's GFWL. Steam had the headstart but with all the R&D done for the Xbox why is Microsoft not porting as much of that system over to make a streamlined gaming service? Why not release either a gaming version of Windows 7 or have an inbuilt gaming system, a bit of a step on from the Windows Media Centre application that switches your PC into a gaming mode with a browser and a few other apps but have essentially a stripepd down OS like the XBOX tha...
I hope he is forcibly violated for every day of those 21 years he must serve in prison
Announce the start up of a handful of new first party studio's tasked with creating new IP and expanding existing lines. Surrender 2011 to the PS3 if thats whats needed but make me feel good about the XBOX franchise and its future even beyond the 360 and beyond the Kinect. I want to hear that you're developing the Halo universe further, a new Project Gotham Racing game. I have the Kinect, we've heard and seen how you're promoting it but talk a bit more about gamers like me the...
