Gotta disagree with that. ODST is a great game. It's insanely short and priced to high but a great game nonetheless.(I Gameflyed it so I would not have have to buy it).

It's always kind of annoyed me that we never got THAT Halo game. It looked so epic and the giant city wide combat was something alot of people myself included were looking forward to but we never got it.
ODST came close but the game focuses a bit more on stealth then a Master Chief like rush and blow everything up tactic. However towards the end of ODST came quiet close to delivering the type of experience we saw in this video.

If the game defines the genre it defines it. Simple as that. Just because everyone can't play the game doesn't mean it's not a defining game. This is only a issue now because of the "console war"
NO ONE debated that Half Life was a defining shooter back in the day and it was only on PC for a very long time. It doesn't change the fact that the game existed and it defined the genre.
I would say alot of fans would be stupid to just out right say no. However it's true that the Gears games are no where near as good as other PS3 exclusive games like Uncharted or Resistance and so on.
That said it would just be another addition to the already incredible PS3 line up and that's never a bad thing.
The problem is that PS3 exclusive owners will tend to have higher expectations for the game and it may quite frankly not meet them.

The screen has immense detail in the face. In that screen the character looking at the camera looks incredibly life like. It's not the detail in the skin or what not that blows me aware. You get the code by buying a copy of Final Fantasy XIII on PS3 and registering the game on the Square Enix Members site.
These screens where leaked from the alpha of the game and that is PC only.
The PS3 isn't getting the game until a later version of the beta.
These screens are quite beautiful and it makes you wonder how good it will look in the final version considering they have said it's not finished visually.

I was there the whole weekend and there were MUCH better cosplay(both in terms of the girls and the effort in their costumes).

That wasn't supposed to show you game play. That was more of a tech presentation. It shows how the game looks and how awesome the animation is.
Any game would look dull if all they showed you was walking around town. Very few people have seen FFXIV in motion so that was the goal of this video and it accomplished that very well. The game is easily the best looking MMO and will probably remain that for years to come.

The art style makes it look very similar to Heavenly Sword but from a technical stand point it's no where close.
There was alot more detail in Heavenly Sword and the faces looked a bit better as well. Overall I can't say much about the animation as this isn't a video but I would imagine those are not up to the Heavenly Sword bar either.
Still a pretty decent looking game though.
If it wasn't for their unique art style the game really wouldn't look that great.
It's certainly no Heavenly Sword. I would like to see the game in motion though because sometimes that adds another side to things.
