I watched Feedback the other day and it seems they have a few ideas of what the movie will be. The problem and I mentioned this the other day. Is that everyone who plays Mass Effect has a different view of who Shepard is in both looks and character so having Shepard be the main character of a Mass Effect movie is a bad idea(they mentioned this on Feedback)
The also thought that the movie may not have Shepard at all. It may focus on Humanity's first contact with the Counci...
The guy says we can call bull on EDGE's source. I don't think we can. Think about it this way. MS is treating this as their next console launch. The normal cycle would normally have us seeing a new console now. This being the case MS would want to charge more so they are also gaining console like profits for it since they won't be launching a new console for awhile.
People also have to keep in mind that this is MS. They over price every accessory they sell. People...
Yes that was probably SE's plan. Release around the holidays and get a surge of sales. However SE also stated they wanted the beta to last around 6-8 months(that was not including the alpha) it's looking increasingly unlikely they can have that amount of time in beta and still release on time. It's entirely possible they have since changed wanting to have such a long beta but I don't remember hearing them say anything about that.
If they were to delay it they ...
Television show? No not unless anime is counted in which case it would be yes.
Movie? No
Games? Yes. Lost Odyssey, Persona 3(if you knew what the ending meant when it happened it's sad) Final Fantasy VII, Valkyria Chronicles and a few more I'm to lazy to remember.
It's this simple. When you spend upwards of 10-60 hours(depending on the game) with a particular world and it's characters you are going to get MUCH more attached to...
First thought. 5TB? That's awesome bigger then pretty much every hard drive these days.
Second thought? My brain hurts because of Google translate.
@fallingdove
For sure. There is great things about the game. While we don't know that much about the story it seems like one that could be great. The soundtrack from what I have heard so far is absolutely amazing(not quite as good as what I heard from Yuki Kajiura in Xenosaga II and III but granted I have not heard the whole thing yet). At face value everything the game has with the exception of graphics and some of the game play elements looks to be pretty high end and a...
That's just the worst case. I would also love to see it before this year is over. But you need to keep in mind SE likes to delay games to get them just the way they want them. They delayed FFXIII a few times and that was a offline game.
It's kinda hard to know at this point. I'm hoping we see and hear alot more at E3 so we can get a better idea of if we should expect to see it before the year is over.
One thing you need to keep in mind is that this is a Square Enix game. They NEVER release a game without it being delayed a few times.
I highly doubt it will be finished before 2010 like they want it to be. It's looking more and more likely that the game will be delayed into the middle or possibly even end of next year.(Which as Nuri mentioned is a good thing) I guess the telling thing will be in what capacity we see it at E3. Based on that we will probably be able to p...
It's a shame. The game looks epic enough but graphically it's a mess. The game doesn't even come close to the graphical prowess Monolith was able to achieve in Xenosaga Episode III on PS2. Which is quite sad in my opinion because that game was beautiful but this one isn't(big blocky hands and character models are the main problem here the environments are either hit or miss)
The story from what little I have seen and heard sounds decent. The only thing I don...
That's my POINT. It's made to look incredibly pretty in this TINY little thing. no MASSIVE game is gonna look this good for a LONG time which is exactly what this article is implying saying this is what games on PC will look like in the near future. Which is just not true.
These are made to test your hardware yet these people say this is what ALL games will look like on PC soon which is such BS it's laughable.
@likedamaster
Yeah because adding my opinion on a movie of one of my favorite games makes me a troll try looking in the mirror.
I honestly don't know how they expect a Mass Effect movie to work. Everyone has a different view of who Shepard is and that's not something they can recreate for everyone going to see the movie.
No one uses the generic Shepard they show with the demos and commercials for the game. Pretty much everyone makes their own.
Mine for example is a female Shepard so on that basis alone the movie is gonna fail to draw me in because it's not gonna be the She...
In a way this is a better deal then Bungies. With Bungie they have to stay with Activision for 10 years. Nothing they can do about that.
With Insomniac they can do a single game and leave if they want or renew and do the same deal again. It gives Insomniac MUCH more freedom then Bungie got with Activision. Sure they both will own the new IP's they make. But EA was willing to do a deal for a single game despite that there was no guarantee that Insomniac would come back to ...
I don't know because of the one IP one game thing this seems like Insomniac are experimenting with Multiplat.
Like seeing if this game sells significantly more on both consoles as opposed to just PS3 and if it doesn't they will remain exclusive to PS3 and will own the new IP so they can do what they wish in the future with it.
Far more likely that it's a PSN only download of the PSP remake of the game. it makes no sense to do a HD remake so soon after they remade the game for the PSP.
A new persona game would not been in a form ready enough to be submitted for rating in any part of the world let alone Australia.
I hate these tech demos. Yeah this looks beautiful. But it's a 2 minute video that the people behind focus crap loads of time to make look as good as possible. When you use something like this in a MASSIVE game it's NEVER gonna look as polished and perfect as this because of the sheer amount of time involved to so.
It happens with every single Graphics engine and graphics card tech demo.
This is the exact reason that in almost every game you will see...
While that sounds incredible at first it kinda falls apart at story driven.
DMC4 was in fact story driven MUCH more so then the first 3 games. Yet people didn't like it. A big part of that is Nero(which I just don't get I loved Nero he is basically just like Dante except alot more human i.e he has emotions).
Aside from getting the battle to be more free form and fast(like Bayonetta) I don't know what they could do to please fans.
I agree.
I loved Heavenly Sword but that wasn't Devil May Cry kinds of action. They can't take what they did with Heavenly Sword slap on a DMC skin and call it DMC it wouldn't feel the same. It needs to still feel and play like a DMC game and I'm not convinced they could do that.
I have always hated the sexism debate.
Yeah DOA characters are sexy but they are also strong in both personality and physical strength.(with maybe the exception of Tina) The story behind Kasumi in DOA is a great story and she is one hell of a character. Why is it such a bad thing to make her look beautiful?
Not all strong women are ugly and not all beautiful women are bimbos that need to be saved.
If it's anything like FFXI you will not want to use a mouse. You will more or less use the controller to do everything except typing and it's much more efficient that way.
