In what way is it possibly a mistake on the part of Insomniac? They have time and time again ranked as one of the best places to work which would mine people have a great time are treated and paid well their. If that's the case staying exclusive is not hurting them.
If they are happy where they are then let them stay there. Some companies don't mind staying put. Not everyone wants to become EA or Activision like in size and output.
Simply put they ar...
The UE3 at it's core is a buggy engine. That alone aside from graphics means Epic needs to step up their game with UE4.
Even Epic's own games that run on UE3 are riddled with glitches. Why do you think Gears of War earned the nickname Glitches of War. The engine has horrible collision detection and it's not uncommon to find yourself stuck in a wall or seeing little thinks like debris or ammo clips floating in mid air for no reason. Those things are just as much a ...
Yeah pretty much the same. None of those games really interest me. I would also love to see the 3DS but it's come up that people are wondering how they are going to actually show off the 3DS. Seeing that you don't need glasses for it to work it means it's gonna use some trick to trick your eyes into seeing 3D. The problem is how they are gonna show that off to the consumer without the consumer buying it.
I'm interested to see how they get around that.
...
Personally I really don't wanna see what happened with UE3 happen with UE4 unless they do a crap load of work.
The biggest problem with UE3 was that when this gen began EVERY game used the engine and the problem quickly became games looking to similar to each other. It's only now that devs have figured out ways to make the Unreal Engine look very different and it's really to little to late as the engine is incredibly dated now and really doesn't look that goo...
Yeah totally agree with that. The fact that MGS4 was able to pull everything together and have a good ending that pretty much tied up all the plot threads was a damn incredible feat.
Sure the ending was long but that doesn't make it bad. I like long endings because it's like your reward for getting that far and you get to sit back relax and enjoy a good ending.
.
A character driven story is actually more about seeing the characters grow and change.
Good example. FFVII. Cloud is more or less the exact same character at the start of the game that he is in the end. Hence it's not a character driven game.
Final Fantasy XIII all the characters are different people by the end because of what they go through and what they experience. THAT is a character driven story. Each character grows and changes just like a real pers...
@Action Bastard
Yeah and you never did any of those things in any of the other Final Fantasy games either yet those are still J-RPG's.
This is just another example of Bioware trying to down the JRPG genre and make themselves look like pompous gods.
One could argue that Mass Effect 2 isn't a RPG and is just a shooter with a really good story and leveling system(I mean how many games these days have tons of choices for the player and ar...
Regardless of what one thinks of Final Fantasy XIII(Personally I loved it) The way Bioware has been acting(yes I say Bioware because even those in charge there have been guilty of this) Are acting like nothing but internet fan boys trying to cause drama between RPG and JRPG fans and it's BS.
They have said that the JRPG genre hasn't moved forward in awhile and yet the same exact thing is true about their games. Dragons Age is nothing but Baldur's gate with now gen...
I would like to see a new PSP but it would probably have to outdo what a PS2 could do and considering we are still seeing incredible games coming out on the PSP I think it's not yet time for a PSP2. Perhaps the same time next year but right now it seems a bit to early.
@HolyOrangeCows
And yet you forget her personality, Her costume, Her hair style, Her weapons and so on and so forth. All those are needed to create a character. I'm sorry but unless you are making a game with nothing but naked people running around it's MUCH more difficult to make a character then you may think it to be.
By the way she is far more likely inspired by Angela Aki then Palin considering the game is a Japanese one and Angela Aki is quite the ...
I find it hilarious that they keep bringing up that Sony is showing off alot of great games before E3 happens. What they don't mention is that Sony has also said time and time again that they are saving ALOT for E3 and that it will be one of their best years.
They showed Move at GDC so they could get it out of the way. It was intended to make it so they didn't really have to talk about it at E3. Sony is going to focus on the hardcore whereas MS needs to talk alot mor...
Yeah I agree it seems like a oxymoron but they claim it's possible.(I HIGHLY doubt it)
I will believe it when I see it.
His problem isn't exactly that people are making adult material out of the character. His main gripe is that people don't seem to show love for the character in their works depicting her.
Now considering he showed plenty of love by creating Her as well as Her world and the game she is in that's completely understandable.(After all it takes a certain level of love to get a game from the concept phase to a final product).
People in his eyes are doi...
While there are certainly companies out there who are greedy one has to keep in mind that many of these compnanies are not and are simply trying to find a way to get around piracy and people buying used games(Remember they see none of the money from a used sale only the new sale gives them profit).
Stuff like the Cerberus network on Mass Effect 2 is in my opinion a good idea. None of the stuff offered in it is game breaking or anything. However it is stuff fans of the game an...
Yeah horrid list.
They choose the opening for the first Onimusha when the 3rd games opening sequence to this day is still jaw dropping.
Seriously crap list.
@hi6hli6ht
seems people don't understand what the word exception means.
There ARE games out there that look incredible in terms of game play. Sad thing is the VAST majority of them are not out and never will be because game play like that simply doesn't work in a MMO beyond the concept phase. If it did the way MMO's play would have been like that a long time ago. It puts to much strain on a game that has 1000's of people playing on the same ...
Somehow I have a hard time believing that you have "Experienced" the game head on. If that indeed means you played it that's unlikely.
At this point in time the vast majority of the people who have gotten into the game were those that were present at the Vana Fest Celebration for FFXI in Japan.
Seeing as you comments about WoW makes me think you are a WoW fan I find it unlikely that you would go through the trouble to go to Japan and get into t...
A few things people need to keep in mind.
Every MMO combat looks boring unless you are playing it(with a few exceptions).
This game is in Alpha and it's been stated time and time again that less then 50% of the abilities each class will have are present. Hence you will have alot more to be doing when the final game is released and all the abilities are usable.
Also these are easy low level mobs(again the bigger stuff is not even in this A...
The 2 things that excite me the most are the ability to make cut scenes(with you own sounds and voice over which is AWESOME) and the ability to string levels together to make a entire game.
Seriously just thinking about what the community will do with that makes me giddy like a school girl.
