I loved the game and from a game play perspective it's MUCH better then the first however from a story perspective I think the first Mass Effect was better.

The graphics thing is really the only thing here. If you know where to shop you can get the 360 version for PC price and as far as digital distribution I could care less.
Also the game controls nearly perfectly with the 360 controller so I can't imagine the controls on the PC version being any better then 360.
Square wants the game on as many platforms as possible. Just like FFXI. They probably could not reach a agreement with MS when they first announced the game and hence the PS3 console exclusivity.
The only thing I can think of is MS wants people to have a Gold Live account to play and SE doesn't want that or MS is too greedy and wants a massive cut from the monthly fees and SE isn't gonna give them what they want.

Your eyes must be broken. As I said I LOVE The game however the graphics are really lacking at many points in the game. The game has horrifying visual glitches like eyes of many characters just going all googly or even the whites of the eyes starting to pass through the eye lids at various points.
Like I said it's above average but it's not a really stunning game like Uncharted or even like Alan Wake.
I LOVE the game and will say that the good things FAR outweigh the bad however most of the points in this article are dead on. However the only one I don't agree with is the problem that all the aliens speak English and act human.

I'm playing Mass Effect 2 now and while I love the game to death I will say this. Nothing about it graphically impresses me. Not the facial animations or the combat animations or the graphics themselves. The game is certainly better then average in terms of it's looks but there are MUCH better things out there.
Who cares if they could not translate. Wasn't FFX's vocal piece in Japanese in the english version? No one will care. It will either be people can understand the language and say wow that song fits or they don't understand and think to themselves it's a beautiful song.

If we are talking about the last generation of consoles I.E Game Cube, Xbox and PS2 then I can say that Xenosaga 3 was probably the best looking J-RPG of last gen. There were only a few games the Xbox had that were more graphically impressive then what the PS2 could do. Things like BLACK and Panzer Dragoon Orta were incredible as was Halo 2 for it's time. I never shunned the Xeno series I own all the games and even imported the soundtracks for the 3 PS2 games as well. I even got a art book for the first game called Xenosaga Emissions.

Graphics are not the only thing I care about. I know for a fact that Monolith will make a fantastic battle system for the game. If you have played Xenosaga 1-3 you will know that in each game the battle system was comepltely different. They were always trying something new with the game play and how you leveled your characters.

If this really is the successor to Xenosaga it really annoys me taht the game is on the Wii. The game will most likely have some gimmicky Wii mote based combat system and it won't look nearly as good as it should have. Looking at the few screens there are it doesn't even look better graphically then Xenosaga III did on the PS2.
It will be great to have the game but I would have liked to see Xenosaga's successor on the PS3.
Really disappointing to me that it's coming to the Wii. The games Sakuguchi makes are epic but the Wii will not because able to match that epicness on a technical level so even while the game may be incredible it won't be what it should have or could have been on PS3 or 360.
On top of the fact that real gamers games don't seem to sell all to well on the Wii and I have to wonder why it's coming out at all on that platform.

I think your logic is greatly flawed. The RPG's in Japan are not normally targeted at a certain age group. The reason characters are younger is it's a cultural difference. People in Japan like to see a young hero rise above their problems and do what they need to do. This is why Nier in Japan has a young looking protagonist and in the US Nier is a roided out old man.
I am WELL past my high school days and still prefer JPG's. The stories are often times better...
