Knights Contract looks interesting and I will be keeping an eye on it. It's one of those games that could turn out really really good or just fade away into obscurity.
On the "never gonna happen" front I would LOVE to see Project Diva 2nd come out in the US but seeing as the first game never did I find it highly unlikely.
Wow this is total fail.
The guy is putting movie games(who the hell buys movie games thinking they will be good?) on a list with 2 really big games that didn't live up to the hype.
FFXIII isn't what alot of people expected yet if you can find those who looked past the linearity they liked it quite a bit(like myself) "8 hrs in I was struggling to understand what the story was about" Really? After 8 hours you didn't get sucked into the cha...
The only thing that strikes me as a Bombshell is a Darkstalkers game. Mainly because most of the other stuff is a given it's just a mater of when not if. With Darkstalkers it's a if not when. So if it came out of no where I would consider that a bombshell. I think it's unlikely however considering it would steal Marvel Vs Capcom 3's thunder and that's a bad idea considering how long people have been waiting for it.
A Dino Crisis Reboot or at least a sequel...
I would agree that there is alot to improve when it comes to online things in gaming but I would have to disagree that visuals are solved.
We have seen countless devs say they think the visuals for the next generation will jump just as much as this one did and the Pixar level visuals we had been promised this gen just never happened. There is still ALOT of room for graphics to grow and more ways to make better looking games cheaper. There are still devs out there who can'...
The main problem here is that more and more Japanese devs think it's necessary to westernize their games and 90% percent of the time it doesn't work and just turns off people who would have liked their game.
A good example. I would have liked to play Nier had it not had the roided out gears of war type character but because SE thinks that's what Americans like that's what we got. It's a misconception. Not everyone in the US likes that stuff.
Yeah I have the same problem. I love playing on the PC but I think I would need to do a bit of upgrading to play it and I don't have the money. One of my favorite things about FFXI was the mods so I was thinking I would wait a year or 2 and then get the PC version after I have the money to upgrade and that way mods will be out and I can mess around with them. Until then I will probably just stick with the PS3 version.
On topic however the game is looking better and better...
Anyone else think that Blasto might have been one of the influences for Captain Qwark in Ratchet and Clank?
Anyway I loved Blasto I still have my copy. A PSN re release or a HD remake would be awesome.
If you had common sense you would know those vids were flamebait. They were of someone who didn't know how to play the game at level 4 in a alpha with 50% of abilities locked.
Anyone who knows and follows MMO's should be incredibly excited about FFXIV. Regardless of if the game has a play style people like or not it's really pushing what visuals can be in a MMO. It looks leaps and bounds ahead of anything else and it's not even half done from what we hear(and that includes the visuals).
The animation as well is vastly better then anything we have seen in any other MMO. Both the way characters move and their faces look incredibly life li...

Instead of trying to state I'm wrong why don't you come up with reasons to defend your point of view? Is it per chance that you can't or are you just lazy? Seriously don't bother posting if you are not gonna add anything into the conversation or say something constructive. It's just annoying and most would consider it trolling.
The reason it's a bad thing is because even though the 360 may not have been the reason behind no towns and such it WAS behind FFXIII being dumbed down graphically from what it was originally supposed to be. We saw screens that were redone later in the games dev cycle after it was announced for 360 that looked worse then the original screen. While the game looks better on PS3 there were sacrifices on both consoles. After all they could not do something to crazy on PS3 it if would not work...
2 words. Persona 5.
@ShinGino
If you asked those at Bioware what Mass Effect is they would say it's primarily a RPG with a shooter mechanic. It's funny you mention it's not a RPG at all because that's what Bioware was saying against Final Fantasy XIII which is FAR more of a RPG then Mass Effect 2 is. Yet you don't see Bioware leveling criticism at themselves.
The sad thing is Bioware seems to think that because they have levels and because they have moral c...
I don't think have the right to criticize. As Darkstorn mentioned they are to completely different types of games. SE at least tried to make a completely new game and change the JRPG genre. Sure they have varying levels of success depending on who you ask but the point is they tried.
Bioware on the other hand relies on the same old formula with a different skin on it. Dragon's Age is nothing but Baldurs Gate with now gen graphics and as much as I love it Mass Effect ...
I really hope you are right. I really want the PS3 version. So much was added that it would almost be like playing a different game. I would tend to think that if it's ever coming to the US that it will be announced at E3 and if not then it's more then likely never happening.
There would be a slight chance they would announce it at TGS but it would make no sense to announce a US version of a game at a Japanese gaming expo.
@ClownBelt
While I do agree with you that VP3 is a big game it's really only a big game for RPG fans. The series while incredible has always been somewhat overlooked. The media praises the series time and time again but again it some how always gets overlooked.
Now this coupled with the fact that Final Fantasy XIII didn't do as well for MS as they had hoped(despite all their advertising for the 360 version and none from Sony it still sold better on PS...
@iamtehpwn
There is no way they would do a Aerith revival or something like that. If they had wanted to they would have done so in Advent Children and they pretty much closed the entire Aerith plot point for the series with the ending of that movie.
@K-Tuck
Fair enough. But I would count Final Fantasy III as a remake. Sure it's not a HD game or anything but it looks way better then the original 3 did and little things were added and ch...
I hate these lists they are always so retarded. Sure there is always a chance a remake will not live up to the original. However this is also the chance the game will vastly surpass the original.
Final Fantasy VII has alot going for it. The games world has been expanded alot since the original game and hence the remake can go deeper into certain things they didn't get a chance to the first time around.(For example maybe work some of the stuff from Crisis Core into the gam...
That boomerang would have been nearly impossible to use as a controller. It's shape would cause it to just slide out of your hands.
The DualShock is the best controller out there. Why do you think 90% of the PC controllers made by other companies try their best to copy it? It just works. The PS4 should keep using it there is nothing better they can produce.
Bayonetta was reviewed so well because it has some of the best action combat ever put in a game.
In fact if you spent time reading any of the reviews you would know that 90% of the complaints about the game was the over the top sexual presentation of Bayonetta herself. That however doesn't change the fact that the game has excellent game play and combat and that's why it was reviewed so well.
