External pre-approved power brick helps, results in a lot less testing.

"bf always had daunting flying controls" compared to what?

I think they feel a lot like actual flight simulators or radio controlled vehicles. They are difficult. But at the same time it gives those who know what they doing a opportunity to do more.

You do know that DA:I was expected to release this fall. Don't you?

Bioware got an extra year to create contents (and add features). Adding multi player would not require to much resources considering DA:I is running on a multi player first engine...

Why not a newer build than E3?

Suppose this really is a developer XBox One in an PC enclosure - does it have a label?
(if it is labeled HP or Dell it is not a developer XBox One)

Does ALL newer builds for XBox One crash?
if so it could indicate a major hardware problem...
(when doing this and that it locks - but what this and that is isn't known yet. If it was it would be worked around)

How do you know, have you checked in the other developers cabinets?

Is any third party developer running on actual XBox One hardware?

What about those developing exclusively for XBox One, they should atleast run on actual hardware? Do they?

Note: The XBox One chip is not just like any PC, its chips is special in several areas, ESRAM integrated audio processor, other coprocessors...

BUT making a developers board in micro ATX form factor makes a lot of sense - no need to have enclosures/power/... finished. And ...

It will be very interesting to play the demo on current generation. How will that look?

No, consoles are the oven you bake your cookies (game frames) in.

If you are used to an electric oven it takes time to get perfect result in a gas oven.

But moving from one electric oven to another or one gas oven to another is much less problematic.

Erratas are like "you can not vacuum clean at the same time as you use your electrical oven"

This generation XBox One will be more problematic, what ingredients to keep...

KZ multiplayer v. Battlefield multiplayer

Guerilla is worried that they have

FZ (in this video @ 2:50)
"any player can now have a drone with him ... not 24 now its 48 entities you have to juggle"

BF
64 players, that can shoot RPGs, making building crumble, but not only that destructions from shots, trees and water move in wind and by explosions.
FAR more entities to juggle!

When comparing gr...

DICE will have enough time!

(You forgot to subtract OS overhead for PC...)

Remember that even if BF4 wasn't to be released for PS4 and XBoxOne some people will run it on their computers with APUs a generation older than what's in Next Gen Consoles.

A) It will run better on Next Gen Consoles than on corresponding APUs due to being specifically tested.

B) It will be optimized for Next Gen Consoles, if this code can be r...

"graphics as kz" how has this become the golden standard?

Took a look at a longer multi player gameplay the other day, tell me about static environment...

Only thing that moves/changes are players and some litter.

In case you have not noticed.

The SPUs of PS3 have moved onto the GPU of PS4.

Lots of code that on PS3 runs on the SPUs will run on the PS4 GPU. You could notice this trend already in PCs as there are reviews (from SP) claiming that CPU hardly matters.

With these optimizations CPU matters most when you run multi player as it handles network protocols.

This is why Battlefield can keep so much of its graphical fidelity (includi...

@ newmonday, it is not clear that Killzone is 1080p @ 60Hz

Notice the Killzone announcement:
"Killzone: Shadow Fall would run at 60FPS in multiplayer, and that the exclusive first-person shooter will be natively 1080p."

probably means
- 60Hz in multi player (could be 720p)
- 1080p in single player (could be 30Hz)
