Toggle helmet visability... and VR please!
A game specifically designed for XBox One could run worse on PS4. But most developers putting in some optimization efforts should reach at least parity.
It's a bit like last generation were it was the PS3 that was special... if it run well on PS3 it could be made to run OK on XBox 360 and PC.
We'll see how many years it will take for others to catch up...
This is not trivial.
- Destruction
- Levolution (not only big things, smaller reversible changes like opening and closing)
- Vehicles (slow on ground, fast flying)
- 60 fps
- still one of the best looking
- does it in 64 players multi-player!
Lots of game releases coming

@DialgaMarine this generation won't get a longer lifespan.
PCs will very quickly adopt the missing parts (8 cores) but worse is that phones and PADs are approaching fast.
Sure consoles can use more power but mobiles/pads can throw out and replace most of their tech several times each year! (and people will buy it and games!)
If your engine can scale from high end PCs down to mobile/pads you are in a very good position. Can Cryengine do this? (Fros...
BF4 SP - you do know that you not always have to take the head on route do you? Ever tried?
BF4 is still one of the most optimized games for PS4.
Take a look at the new Destiny MP alpha
+ vehicles
- concurrent players you can interact with in a single match
- lots of explosions no destruction
? sterile environment (by design, but it also helps the engine)

BF4 has motion blur, out of focus blur, bokeh etc!
- this makes screen shots not look as crisp as players are used to.
Oh, I thought this game would be SP first with MP as an added bonus...
I think the MP could work well for coordinated teams.
Why has SONY rented theaters? Can they all show 3D?
Sony has shown a little product named Morpheus.
It is easy to see that it is no late/rushed feature.
Suppose they will be showing some games this time!
Morpheus has already been integrated in Unreal Engine 4.2
what if it is also in Frostbite 3?
Virtual reality would work really well in all kinds of driving situations (being seated - cars, helicopters, spacesh...
@FalloutWanderer2077 I think it will... BF4 still does it is mostly a matter of resolution.
Only reason for it not to would be the amount that PC games are delivered on DVD while PS4 and XBox One uses
Blu-Rays (1 Blu-Ray holds 50 GB, about 10 DVDs...)
But since Frostbite cut scenes are rendered in engine that gives a lot of compression (you can test this in BF4 by moving around while a cut scene plays)
With good enough textures and models you...
Remember that PS4 use ONE integrated chip. Splitting memory in CPU and GPU would require two separate memory buses from that one chip.
It is a better use of pins to make the memory path wider.
When I first saw the architecture I thought that the CPUs would be memory bandwidth starved, but comparing with actual PCs they are about the same.
Normal access patterns are probably not perfect match for the PS4 but game developers can afford moving all mass c...
Lots of PCs with unified memory - where have you been?
I would say that having a separate GPU with dedicated memory is the exception nowadays. Notebooks are PCs too!
Most office PCs use unified memory so does entry level ones.
Pretty sure they will push todays most expensive PCs.
That will be enough for PS4 and Xbox One!
Real question: Will this be shown with SONY Morpheus?
This twitter thread is quite interesting

The more you put into a game, the more have a potential to break.
I think DICE were a bit over confident adding new stuff late.
I still see no real competition out there...
Especially not on PS4 / Xbox One
BF4 on line 64 players MP often surpass other games single player.
Every frostbite related bug they fix on BF4 will be a bug less in BF Hardline.
Lets see, it sounds like this might be released late 2015.
Maybe together with BF5...
Will The Division still look polished in that comparison?
What this really shows is how far ahead DICE are.
I haven't really had any game breaking problems with BF4.
Wouldn't surprise me if Massive rather would like to be in EA/DICEs position.
* Several multiplayer games with vehicles and destruction released.

Even a little LED kills battery life!
This is probably three (to be able to color it)
To get the right mix the controller probably controls light level of each color using pulse width modulation.
The dimming option probably reduced the duty cycle (detection of correct color might get a bit more difficult)
The light bar is VERY bright (even dimmed) when playing in a dark room.
Why dark?
Home cinema!
Playing with Morpheus you wont need any projector and can play in a lighted room (unless others want to watch).
So having it off should be the default when not having a camera connected...
BTW PS3 Move calibration does not work well in many games. They do not expect a very dark room. Noise shows up as colored pixels messing ...
Wasn't the reason for regions to avoid huge uninteresting transitions between said regions?
You can't have a lush forest next to a desert.
The problem is that the transition area needs to be really big. What is worse your party will have to travel those areas, maybe several times...
What? Do you say you can not chip tune your car?
Lots of computers in every car that you can hack...
But Myst-Vearn did actually compare "Dragon Age origins" to both Witcher games.
(DAO > The Witcher) && (DAO > The Witcher 2)
Not the comparision you made (DAO > The Witcher) && (DA2 > The Witcher 2)
