So lets put some civilians in the game. If your team happens to kill civilians they will turn against you - knifing you... or whatever... [I suggested this to DICE long time ago]

Battlefield 3 open beta - that is where everything will be decided...
I am sure one of the modes on demo will be Team Deathmatch, 12 v 12, infantry only - to be as close to MW3 run and gun as possible. But with destruction, more realistic looks - including stuff like litter/leaves blowing around - the BF3 world feels alive.
And then EA/DICE might include another mode - something that MW3 can't match - a mode full with vehicles including jets

Battlefield 3 Xbox 360 single player can now be found on Youtube!
A recent PC with a DX11-hardware GPU has passed PS3 raw processing power - and it is the GPU that does it!
But most PCs out there have not. Our kids gaming computer only two years old (dual core Athlon, base DX10-hardware card) would need a graphics card update to be sure to win the raw processing/rendering challenge...
But there are more things to rendering - the DX10-hardware card has 1GB dedicated memory. Twice as much as the PS3 has in total. This is sure...

How do you mean? I am pretty sure you could pick the item/artifact up and move around with it - but I did not play that much - that was how I thought it worked...

Depends on the game... Those who sell it second hand will charge whatever they will get. Second hand prices are the real indication of what a game is worth. I have bought several games for about $10 - but I really do not play them...

Yes, but you would sell that one car at a price point to cover all your costs. This does not happen with video games. Someone that sells a car gets the full cost and whatever profit they designate out of it, meaning it pays for itself. It takes at least hundreds of thousands of copies of a game sold at full price to cover the expenses of a single vid...

You need an engine that does dynamic light and shadows. Most game engines does not - they have static objects and lights and can therefore pre-render their environmental shadows. (adding shadows for moving vehicles and character during gameplay - or place the game at night/cloudy day where you need no distinct shadows from the sun)

But Battlefield 3 on consoles has been confirmed to be 1280x720p@30 (well really 1280x704)
This one is 1080p@30, it does not make sense to scale up before publishing to youtube.
There is SP Battlefield 3 console footage that is 1080p - from the Fallon show - but that was stored from HD television (so it does not really count)...

(I looks like youtube only handles 1080i @ 30 Hz, interlace artefacts are visible)
So unless SP for consoles is 1080p, but I really doubt that...

Screen tearing is a graphical problem, if DICE updated the graphics they might have fixed the screen tearing.
We will see when unedited direct feed gameplay videos arrives...
