It's sad that a lot of people will miss out on this experience (can't bring myself to call it a 'game') simply because it's so different and original.
Take the plunge, people!

I doubt it's an error.
Play.com probably do have the game in stock and have listed it as such hoping that people rush to order (in the belief that they'll be getting it early), when in fact those orders won't be processed and sent until Wednesday or Thursday.

What is?

I don't think PORTAL should be there either. It required thought, but wasn't difficult. A couple of jumps were 'fiddly', but certainly not hard.

I got FEAR 2 on the Wednesday before release. Play.com do it with DVD's too - I nearly always get new DVD releases (that are due on a Monday) on the Friday or Saturday before.

My 42 year old sister only got into gaming with the original Xbox whereas I've been playing since the Atari 2600 days.
With the best will in the world, I have to admit that she's not that good at it, but even she got into KZ2 very quickly and had no problems with the controls.

Interesting read - Honest praise and criticisms, but that 'real' Helgasy costume was a bit tacky.

At the end of the day, I'm happiest with the good ol' ISA Assault Rifle (although in KILLZONE 1 I preferred the Helghast equivalent, as I could never find enough ammo for the ISA one!).

I always prefer the more realistic (for want of a better word) weapons - They just feel better in my 'virual hands' than the more sci-fi themed ones.

Annnnd ROLLING THUNDER.... Dammit! I shudder to think about how much money I poured into that machine when we had one set up in the games room at work in the early 90's!!!

What about RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK on the Atari 2600? I never did finish that game - The damn tetse flies kept doing me in!

Any perceived difference would only matter if someone has BOTH games on BOTH consoles. A gamer is only going to buy one version on one console (which ever it is) and so it DOESN'T MATTER which one is 'best' as long as both are GOOD (and, apparently, both are!!)

My 60GB (UK) launch model is still thundering along quite nicely but I tell you right now: if (god forbid!)it suddenly went up in smoke I'd go right out and buy another with no hesitation.

Very comprehensive!
Also, I think the reviewer is one I saw on UK game show "PLAYR" (or whatever it was called before it changed it's name!) saying that the XBox 360 was the best next-gen console to go for, so KZ2 must have really impressed him!!

VERY cool video, very well directed.
I hope little things like this, along with trailers and such, are included as unlockable content on the Blu-Ray disc.

My PLAY.COM order has just changed from "pre-order" to "order placed" so my regular edition must be in stock. Wheeeee!!!!

ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ... whazzat?
Just buy the console you want and be done with it. Back to sleep now...

Thinking about it, Sony can't put an "in-game footage" caption as this specific scene won't be in the game.
On the other hand, if they put "in-engine footage", the general public might not have the foggiest idea what a 'game engine' actually is and just be confused by the statement.

"In-engine ad vignette" is mentioned in the write-up. If there's to be a downloadable version we can 'manipulate' then it must be all real time!

Then looks are obviously deceiving, as KILLZONE 2 is brilliant.

Don't know about the bullet.. this quote seems to suggest that EVERYTHING we see is in-game.

"...we will release a playable version of this in-engine ad vignette on the PlayStation Network coming in March. You’ll be able to control the camera and hear director commentary on how the production was completed using only the game’s technology. The project codename is “Killzone in 4-D” – hope you can check it out."

Sublime! If they ever make a KILLZONE movie they needn't bother with actors - Just do the whole thing with the engine!!!;)

Looking forward to the 'interactive' download they mentioned too!
