Don't think the first issue ever made it out, sadly. I remember seeing some (rather murky) art in a preview on the DW website but nothing more.
I see the article mentions DW produced "Kick Ass Transformers and GI Joe" comics.
Hmmmmm.... For one thing, I never considered their TF comic very good and for another, they didn't produce the Joe series (that was Devil's Due!) - Unless they mean the single crossover series they did (nerd alert!)
I remember looking forward to the KZ comic then being disappointed to lose it because of the whole Pat Lee/DW fiasco (I was also getting their Transformers comic at the time).
Hope someone picks up the license now the second game is here, but given how long it took for HALO to get to printed form, I'm not holding my breath.
Wow, well said. As far as I can see, KZ2 has delivered on everything it promised, ergo it's a success. No good griping about what it "isn't" when it never had any pretentions to be anything other than a beautiful, immersive FPS.
Can't really add anything of merit... *shuffles feet* ...move along, nothing to see!
Old news, and I wasn't too bothered to start with. It probably looks nice on it's own, but would make a mess of my shelf - I'll stick with my 'common' plastic box.
I've bought most of the PS3 exclusives, but not out of any form of loyalty. I've bought them because they appeared to be great games. In just about every instance, I've been right too!
Same with KZ2.
Eh wha...?
Only in fantasy land.
Even presuming KZ2 goes on the Platinum label and gets a price drop further down the line, it still wouldn't hit HALO numbers. Not a reflection on the game (I was so underwhelmed by HALO 3 when I played it on my sister's 360 that I couldn't finish it) but I just don't see it happenin'!
Brothernick, I guess your comments are driven by either jealousy or some inexplcable, deep rooted fear of KZ2. Otherwise, you have no reason for posting here.
Good to hear the game hit the #1 spot - Game 'X' may not sell as much as game 'Y', but it can still be considered a success. Well done Guerilla.
I hope KILLZONE 2 dispels the absurd notion that the PS3 has "no good games" and "is only good for movies"; a rather blinkered view that, given the fine catalogue I own (18 PS3 games and another dozen PS2 titles I can play on the system) has never been the case anyway, even well before KZ2 came along.
I also hope it makes people realise that there is room for two fine consoles on the market and that one need not 'destroy' the other.
I also hop...
Getting mine (presuming they have enough stock to go round) from play.com for £29.99. I'd never attend a midnight opening, for anything (never mind games).
Of course, using mail order means I may have to wait a few more days than most but I can wait...
So many adverts these days are so mind-numbingly DUMB that I tend to turn down the volume and 'tune out' whenever they come on anyway. Guess I'll miss the KZ2 trailers, but as I pre-ordered some time ago that's okay!
I prefer scores in units of 10 - It's just 'neater' to my OCD personality I guess.
Glad they're getting it, but I expect it'll be the 'weakest' region for sales.
Indeed it is - The one and only "gets better the older she is" Amanda!
To be honest, I've been surprised by the ammount of posts (on other gaming forums, not here) from people who actually didn't know anything about Kz2 until very recently. This may help reel a few in!!!
I don't mind co-op (online, NOT splitscreen!) in itself, but if it was slapped on to KZ2 to the detriment of the overall (apparently brilliant) single & multiplayer package then I'd prefer it wasn't there.
Despite what you said, if you're "interested" in MGS4 and KZ2 then you DO want a PS3, surely?
The only 360 game I'm interested in playing is GEARS OF WAR (first one, not the second). I'd certainly get a console to play that one game if I could afford it.
It's clever and very well constructed, with the dialogue matching perfectly, but I can't help but think it'll do more harm than good.
Why do presenters of game shows always have to think they're 'whacky' and 'characters'? Look to the ones on UK's PLAYER for further evidence of "laugh at me, I'm funny" bufoonary.
The guy doing the 'review' seemed embarassed to be there much of the time - Maybe he's more of a 'behind the scenes' kind of guy.
Anyway, he seemed to be using the COD comparison as a compliment (though it's hard to tell these days) so I can't say I'm bothered by him mentioning it ...
They did indeed. They deserved them too, like KZ2 it seems"!
