Yep. I would rather have a 500gb external drive to store important data on than optical media.
I played the demo for this game last night and I really enjoyed it.
I don't know which version is better, but I like the PS3 version. This is a good game.
I need to remember to record this.
As long as they co-exist in a single box. Having separate players for these movies is terrible.
Console defense forces are just a bunch of butthurt fanboys. Nobody really takes them all that seriously.
Wii is sold out everywhere. This isn't all that surprising.
Does the PS3 have to sell as much as the PS2 to be considered successful? Somehow I doubt it.
I have to wonder if we're finally seeing some market saturation for the Wii. Or if people are catching on that 90% of the games are crap.
Thank goodness for that good 10%.
This isn't actually all that surprising. Sony said during E3 that they didn't see multiple SKU's in their future. I think that it makes good sense to consolidate and only have one offering. The 40gb hard drive isn't that much of a hindrance considering how inexpensive it is to upgrade it. The 80gb model was always considered to be limited edition.
The only thing I don't like is the backward compatability. Sony practically made that a hallmark of the PlayStation platform and to ...
Live is free. The only thing that isn't free is online play. I would like to see online play be free, considering that I don't play online that often. So most of my last subscription was wasted. That's why I just buy 30 day cards. When I get a new game and want to play I pay $8 and play. Then a few months go by and I do it again. That seems to work fine for me.
After 3 years just maintain the service contract and you have nothing to worry about. It isn't like these things last forever anyway. I've had several different consoles from several different companies break after 3 or 4 years. It just happens.
You're right. They don't need cheaters, even if they are paying customers. Some customers are just not worth having.
I still enjoy playing Pilotwings.
It makes sense to revise the list over time. Many great games have come along in the last couple of years.
Doesn't the drive have a pinhole that you can push a straightened paper clip into in order to release it? Most tray-loaded drives do.
The Inquirer isn't exactly known for being a trusty news source to begin with. There are too many problems with this tale of debauchery for it to be taken seriously. I really doubt that it happened the way that it is being portrayed.
How did this get approved? Apparently the person that made this up, er, wrote this article is an utter moron.
Of everything you listed, none of it makes a difference. Your points make it sound like Sony rushed the PS3 into the market. The only thing that really matters is that Microsoft's customers have adopted the new platform at a higher rate than Sony's. Microsoft's higher conversion rate and attach rate for software prove that most of what you are saying is irrelevant.
The 360 did have competition. The PS2 outsold it for most of the first year. But Microsoft moved slightly more 36...
I've never understood how the amount of blood in a video game affects it's playability or enjoyability. Don't tell me about the realism, because there are very few video games (Uncharted included) that can be heralded for their realism. Any game that oozes buckets of blood is unrealistic.
