Did you ever stop to think that the only reason for Sony's spectacular 2008 PS3 lineup is that nearly every one of those titles was delayed from a holiday 2007 release window.
So when you go to all of these places and ask what's selling better they actually tell you? You must have an amazing knack for getting companies to release information to you that they wouldn't give to anyone else. Because that sort of information is usually trade secret or confidential.
You mean the Wii, right?
It's the holiday shopping season. All of the consoles are on the rise right now.
What surprised me was the Zune.
Where can I get one?
You mean aside from all of those pictures with the PS3's in them, right?
Huh. I was out today and there were plenty of PS3 and 360 consoles to be had. Best Buy had a mountain of each, and at 2 pm neither looked as if it had even been touched. There weren't any Wii's anywhere, but that's to be expected.
I happen to have both games. From my perspective, the main improvements to Ratchet & Clank are with the graphics. The mechanics of the latest one aren't all that different from the other ones, or any other action platformer out there. While exceedingly pretty and very fun, Ratchet & Clank doesn't measure up to Super Mario Galaxy. Super Mario Galaxy is an evolution of the series whereas Ratchet & Clank is just a continuation. Super Mario Galaxy is more open in that you get more con...
Sony's got a lot of momentum going with the new PS3 and PSP models. And Japan is probably the only market I know of where people will go buy a brand new model of a system that does pretty much what the last model does. Sony's on the right track now.
I have to wonder if the Wii is losing steam.
Konami shouldn't be given a pass on MGS4 delays just because they say that Kojima is a moody perfectionist. If the release date were truly "whenever it is ready" then they wouldn't have said that it would be ready for 2007 or winter 2008. The longer they take to release this game the more the hype will wear off.
It looks like eBay sellers are going to have a good holiday again.
The output resolution of the game is 720p. What's in the frame buffer is not. What does it matter if there is some upconversion as long as the visuals don't suffer. So there is no more false advertising than buying a 60gb hard drive and only having 55gb of usable space after you install it.
People are making something out of nothing again. Like somehow their lives can't be the same because some games are slightly upconverted to 720p. Sad, sad, sad.
I thought for a second that you said that you smoke dope for 8 hours a day.
Oh, man. I just barely squeaked in under that age limit. But I agree with you. I don't know many people older than I am that are gamers.
Why would someone do that?
Copyright law allows for fair use of artistic works. Even though they feel like it sounds too much like the real thing it isn't the real thing. I don't see how they're going to win.
It's called fair use. I don't think that the band has a leg to stand on.
Um, Hydrolex? You can't play any of those games on a PS3 yet, either. In fact, none of them seem to have a firm release date.
