TG16 FTW!
You guys need a dictionary. Treble means "triple" in this context.
I won't either.
I like this part:
"SYSTEMS AFFECTED:
- 20g model ps3s.
- 40g model ps3s.
- 60g model ps3s.
- 80g model ps3s.
- all model xbox360s."
Shouldn't that be:
- All model ps3s.
- All model xbox360s.
Or is there some other PS3 model that I don't know about?
They must be generating hella hype, then. Because people are still buying them as fast as they can make them.
Was that article written by Captain Obvious? That's how it's always been. By the end of a console's lifecycle the developers know how to tap into every bit of power the box has.
There's still much less piracy on consoles compared to PC's, though. It doesn't take any hardware modifications to play pirated PC games, so the risk of killing your system is much less a concern for PC gamers.
I wonder how many millions of copies were pirated, though? With the popularity of torrents and the inevitable hack there would no doubt be many stolen for each one sold, particularly considering there are tons more PC's in the wild than there are consoles.
The loot-ninja poll is not scientific by any means, but that doesn't mean that it can't be somewhat representative. Isn't that how the RROD numbers started trickling in? All of these websites had polls and all of them were in the 30%-40% range of people saying they had problems. Then it turns out that the numbers were accurate.
My point is that there may be something to it.
I haven't had any problems yet. I bought the 360 version because my PS3 is the 60GB model and I didn't want to risk the problems that many 60GB models are having.
San Andreas wasn't the pinnacle for me. GTA III was the one that I enjoyed the most. San Andreas seemed like more work than necessary and there was too much desolate wasteland.
I have a couple of reasons to add, too. Like it really wasn't better than Halo 2 and the single player seemed to be an afterthought. I traded Halo 3 within a month.
I'm still playing GTA III, if that tells you anything. I'll be playing GTA IV for years, too.
That's sure to ruffle some fanboy feathers.
If we stop talking about this guy will he just go away?
In my opinion Nintendo holds the all-around gaming crown. They brought the industry back from the brink and they know how to consistently deliver on fun.
One of those is mine. 60gb model FTW!
I guess the difference is that Halo 3 was only on one console and GTA IV is on two consoles. Does that mean that GTA is less popular on the 360 than Halo 3?
640p...whew! That's a relief!
I just thought that the game had bricked my Xbox after only 2 and a half hours. Thankfully it booted back up after I let it cool down for a few minutes. So inconvenient.
