I love my PSP. I wish it had more high-quality software. It has the ability to do more than just "portable" games, but that's all that developers seem to be making for it.
Man, people act like fanboyism is new or something. Professional sports, anyone? As far as video games go, I'm old enough to remember people in school comparing the Atari 2600 to the Intellivision and the Colecovision.
The difference today is that people have the internet, which immediately makes them brave and turns them into tough guys.
I hate the installs, personally. But I can live with them.
I bought it for the 360. But I never buy any DLC, so no worries for me.
Because Japan is irrelevant. The video game sun no longer revolves around them.
John Mayer was quoted as saying "bawwwwwww..."
The length of cutscenes is very important to the overall asthetic of the game. The story should progress by the action as well as the underlying story. 90 minute pauses in gameplay to further the story are important to people like me, because I rarely have 90 consecutive minutes to play a game.
Install times are important, too. Once the game is installed it doesn't detract from the action, but having to wait for an installation for a console game is a leap that many people haven'...
Some people aren't happy either way, I guess. I'm glad that Gamespot published this piece. It give us, the gamers, an insight into the seedy underbelly of the business. It isn't like this is the first time such a thing has happened? Remember LAIR and the "press kits" that essentially told reviewers how to review the game?
Gamespot's reviews are always going to be subject to my scrutiny just because of how they've fired people in the past for having journalistic integrit...
The first one was fun, IMO. I'll buy the second one. Bring it on, THQ.
The graphics on the first game were good. Like how the light shines and flickers through the leaves of the trees.
GTA IV has only frozen once on my Xbox, but when it did it really screwed things up. The first time I restarted it after the freeze I got the blocky graphics that are normally the first sign of RROD. I let my system cool down for a few hours and it has been fine since.
I agree. It wasn't as good as the original. But Lan Di...
Bring it on, Sega. I'm waiting for this one. The secret sauce would be to put all three games on one Blu-Ray disc.
Which American reviews were biased against PS3 games? I'd like to know what has rated unfairly. You're not one of those people who thought that Lair should have gotten a 10, are you?
Reviews of PS3 games seem to be fairly consistent to me. There are a lot of good games, but few stellar ones. The PS3 is just now reaching the point in its life where developers are good enough with it to provide great experiences.
Stupid forum link. Some adolescent complaining because the female avatar that he vicariously lives through got a breast reduction. Maybe her back was hurting? Obviously he's insensitive to her pain.
I guarantee you that Target's loss prevention folks are going to be examining Xbox 360 returns at that store. I can't see them selling so many in a given period that they'll have much trouble tracking down the perpetrator. In my experience, any cash sales of electronics that are returned also require photo id. Target carded me when I exchanged an unopened game a few months ago, and I paid cash for it.
If I'm going to pay that much for anything I'm opening it and inspecting it at the store. When I bought my last TV I made the people at Circuit City unpack it and let me inspect it. They were not amused, but it was either do that or lose the sale.
It's gonna be so awesome when they finally build a computer that's capable of running Crysis! Man, that's gonna be sweet!
I'm still seeing the old one in Firefox. It must have that junk cached somewhere. I'm ambivalent about the icon that any web page displays, though.
What game hasn't had a broken street date? This is not a big deal.
