People had been clamoring for an achievement-type system on the PS3 ever since it was launched. Sony listened and provided one. And now you insult those people. Classy.
Trophies and achievements can provide additional replay value and in some cases require you to be creative to earn them. In other cases trophy support may be a distinguishing factor between console versions. If you like achievements or trophies and only the 360 version has them then chances are that's a software sale for the other platform.
Just because some people don't like them doesn't mean that they aren't valued by others.
Thanks for clearing that up. I appreciate it. Bubbles for you.
There are so many possibilities with this game. Wow.
Cnet is owned by CBS Interactive. I'm not sure why people say that Cnet is owned by Microsoft.

Perhaps it's an import? Either way, someone has their copy now.
It's good to see another favorable review. I'm not sure why people are so obsessed with the scores, though. If the game is good it's good.
I'm going to have a copy, that much I can guarantee.
I haven't seen the ads, but if Obama is doing it then it's a pretty interesting tactic. It shows that his campaign knows how to go after the votes he wants.
I don't see anything wrong with selling refurb hard drives through a special offer like that. It shows that Microsoft is at least trying to make NXE accessible to Core/Arcade owners. I have a Premium 360 with a 20GB hard drive that I bought before the Elite ever existed and it doesn't bother me at all that they're doing this. I feel no sense of entitlement. I'm just glad to see people catching a break.
Anything from Kotaku is bound to stir up the emotions, isn't it? I say let Sony show off Home. To some I'm sure that it will be a game. Some people like to wander around in virtual worlds like that.
That was probably the most poorly written article I've ever read. Five commas in one sentence is normally 4 too many.
I like the Wii, but the waxing poetic junk in the article is just too much. It is my experience with the machine that Nintendo is the only company that knows how to make decent games for it. So you end up with the latest iteration of the same old "classics" and not much new and exciting. That's why half of the Wii's library is pure shovelware.
Another great review. One more week...
It's good to see the game getting great reviews. I'm looking forward to it.
So people are supporting it already. That's good. Whenever I see "game by game basis" I think that many developers might ignore the feature. Looks like that's not going to be the case with this one.
I'm not really all that excited for NXE. As long as it doesn't take me any longer to boot up and start a game I suppose it will be ok.
After last year's update bricked my 360 I'm somewhat hesitant to install another dashboard update. I'm not saying that this one is going to brick it, but it does make me a bit nervous.
I would like the flash player in the browser updated, too. That way I won't have to keep connecting my laptop to my TV to watch online video.
I like the screenshot option. I wonder what the first games to support it will be?
The PS2 was not responsible for DVD's success like the PS3 has been for Blu-Ray. The first generation of PS2's had horrible DVD drives and the quality of the playback was terrible. There were many DVD's that it wouldn't even play. Remember the DRE problems?
Sony didn't release their own DVD remote until a year after the console released, and early adopters had to have a memory card to store the updated DVD drivers so that they could watch many movies. It also didn't support progr...
I've been waiting for Flash to be updated in the PS3 browser. This is going to open up so much more web content. I don't use the PS3 browser for every day web surfing, but there are some sites that I want to view on my TV. If Flash is really updated then now I can.
