That's quite the stretch, I believe.
I haven't even finished the main storyline yet. So I don't think that I'll be getting this DLC any time soon.
The "5 year rule" was already broken this generation as the PS3 released 6 years after the PS2. If Sony creates a new PlayStation it'll probably release after another 6 years, so 2012? I could see it. Especially if a competitor releases something that puts some pressure on them.
As for the Xbox, Microsoft had to release a new console because they were losing their shirts on the Xbox. It was late to the party and so far behind hardware and software sales it just made sen...
I think that we'll see a new Sony console before 10 years, but the "5 year rule" didn't exactly apply this time around. The PS3 released 6 years after the PS2 in North America.
I imagine that we'll see a new PS3 around the 2012 time frame and the PS3 will move into the PS2's role as the Sony budget console for a few years. The 360 released in 2005, so I think that a 2011 release for a new Xbox is a reasonable expectation.
I don't see "360 fans" saying anything. LBP fans are making a big enough deal of it.
What rights of yours have been violated? Sony doesn't have to release the game if it doesn't meet their standards. That's their right.
Don't open it. It's going to be rare and valuable.
Which country?
What if the gamer doesn't have internet access or otherwise can't connect to PSN?
My point is that the policy couldn't be enforced unless 100% of consoles were online when the game started up.
How was he trying to prove Gamestop wrong? Was it that his Gamestop wouldn't sell the game early?
Anyway, that's not the point of the article.
Sounds to me like Thomas should have picked up the phone and asked the question before he signed up. At least he understands that ignorance is not a very good defense.
It's been recalled worldwide, so I'm pretty sure that your company will be shipping them right back next week.
I got a call from Gamestop a little while ago saying that the game had been delayed for "a couple of weeks".
Oh well.
You guys are dead-on. Bubbles for all of you.
What's really happening is that no single console is driving enough revenue to justify keeping third-party games exclusive. The PS3's attach rate is improved, but it is still lower than the 360's. So companies want to put their games where people are buying the most software.
It's simple economics, not thievery. If people want games to stay on their console of choice they need to start buying more games.
I agree with you Xi. Nobody sways anyone else. It's mostly just bickering. Bubbles for you, Xi.
Well it seems to me that since there are more Wii consoles in people's homes than either 360's or PS3's it doesn't really matter what PS3 or 360 fans think of the Wii. It's cleaning house with both of them.
Nice comments! You're right, a lot of people can't see the forest for the trees. Having the lower price point is going to definitely be a factor in the coming year as the global economy falters. There's not as much credit available for people, so $300-$400 consoles are probably not going to sell this year like they did last year. So the Arcade 360 and the Wii have the better shot at raking in larger sales numbers.
Bubbles for you!
You are exactly right with that comment. Bubbles for you!
I guess Miyamoto can't win them all...
